This video shows my workflow when using larger glass filters. The video was released in 2018 and uses Nisi's older S5 filter holder. Nisi has since updated the 'S5' filter holder to the 'S6' filter holder. Both the S5 and S6 filter holders take the Nisi 150mm glass filters - usually purchased as a 'filter kit' (if you don't already own any of these large glass filters). The filter holders are necessary because the lens hood on the FE 12-24 F4 G and 12-24 F2.8 GM lenses cannot be removed. The filter holder attaches to the filter holder. The filter holders are designed to attach to a specific lens. Owners of the Sony FE 14mm F1.8 GM lens (also with a fixed lens hood) can choose to use either Nisi's smaller 100mm system or their larger 150mm filter system. Note > A small amount of vignetting can be visible when using the 100mm filter system on the FE 14mm F1.8 GM if the filter holder is mounted at a 45° angle to the lens.

If the cost and weight of these large glass filter systems is something you don't want to use in your own workflows, then consider using smaller lenses with removable lens hoods, that can use screw-on or magnetic quick-swap filters.
