2019 In Review (Patreon)

Here is a selection of images from my location shoots that I captured during 2019. The year started with the Laowa 10-18 lens review and some shooting with the FE 85 F1.8 GM - I decided to shoot a whole demonstration with one camera, one lens and one camera setting - (at the widest aperture - just for fun). I then started shooting with the new Sony A6400 to prepare for a Camera Review and eBook. In February I was shooting in Hong Kong for the Sony Lens Summit followed by a trip to Yokohama for CP+ and a commission for BenQ monitors. This was followed by some shooting with the FE 135 F1.8 GM for a lens Review and then a return to Japan in March/April for one months shooting for my own folio and a meeting with Sony in Tokyo to discuss firmware. In May (after returning from Japan) I helped run a workshop in Western Australia (sand dunes in Cervantes) where I continued shooting with the A6400 camera. In June I was working on the FE 200-600 G lens review and then in July the A7RIV camera review. I spent September in the USA shooting with the A7RIV and A6400 as a backup camera. After returning from the USA I flew to Malaysia in October as I was invited to be Keynote Speaker at Full Frame Life 1.0. I used my A7RIV + 85 and 135 primes. Later in October I took the A9II and FE 200-600 G lens to the Australian MotoGP to test the A9II and try to push the FE 200-600 G lens to its limits (it doesn't appear to have any). In November I spent a great week on Lady Elliot Island running a Photo Workshop and testing the E 70-350 G lens and then was flown to Vietnam in December by Sony Singapore to work with the RX100 VII camera (an advertisement will be released later in January to promote this little pocket rocket to the South East Asian market). 7 International trips and 8 Interstate trips made it a very busy year. Looking forward to seeing what Sony have in store for 2020 :-)
