After a busy time in the UK helping my father transition from independent living to a residential care home I am now in a position to prepare content for Seminar 19. As the format for seminar 18 proved to be popular, I have decided to be guided by you, the Patrons, as  to what you would like me to discuss at greater length. Just drop your suggestions in the comments below this three and I will include these topics in my next recorded seminar.

Just curiosity about your portrait of your father. On the first two pictures he tilts his head slightly to the right, something I suspect is a very strong habit with many. But on your photo, the tilt is almost absent, or at least so it seems. I know myself to have reduced this kind of tilt, by rotating the picture slightly in post. Did you?

The tilt on the head looks OK when a portrait is 3/4 angle to the camera. When the subject is square on to the camera I would either ask the subject to straighten themselves or just rotate the crop in post. I'll be talking about this series of images in my next seminar.

Thank you. I am new as a member but have been reading and hugely benefitting from your teaching and guidance ever since I bought an a7iii, two years ago. Look forward to setting up a Flicker account and getting your feedback on my pictures.
