Note: This 2020 travel seminar predates the A6700, A7CII and A7CR compact travel options. There are 2023 and 2024 Travel Seminar Options that discuss more recent gear and lens options.

This seminar may be of interest to those Patrons who are thinking about downsizing their camera kit or building a second, and more compact, system to use for travelling, when weight can be a real pain in the proverbial!

The video is 90-Minutes long and looks at Sony's RX cameras and APS-C cameras before the longer A7C discussion starts at approximately the 21-minute 38-second point (see link to jump forward in the info section of the video on YouTube).

The video looks at small and lightweight accessories in order to keep the kit down to a total weight of no more than 4KG (8.8 lbs). I look at workaround for possible decisions to carry no macro lens, flash, large sized tripod or laptop.

The reduction in size and weight enables the use of a small to medium-sized messenger bag that will easily slide in front of the seat in front of you on most commercial airlines. Some airlines will often allow you to take this instead of the laptop bag or handbag that is often treated as your primary carry-on luggage.
