APS-C Seminar 2021 (Patreon)
Content
NOTE > Many of the topics raised in this seminar were greatly impacted by the release of the A6700 camera in June 2023. I had discussed, with Sony Japan, my hopes for a premium APS-C camera in early 2021 (around the time I made this seminar) and these were brought fruition in 2023. This topic was revisited in March 2024 with a new seminar titled Full-Frame or APS-C?
This seminar is available in Ultra HD so you can watch the video on a large 4K screen. There is also a contents list in the Info section below the video on YouTube if you want to watch in sections or jump ahead.
This seminar focuses on Sony's APS-C system and questions whether it has a future now that its full-frame system is diverse and mature. This seminar will also be of interest to owners of Sony Alpha full-frame cameras who want to understand what advantages cameras using smaller sensors can offer and whether an APS-C body would be a good backup camera or second body for those who want to take advantage of Sony's 'One Mount'. A lens mount shared across full-frame, APS-C and its Cine cameras.
