Better late than never!

Adobe has introduced a new AI Denoise feature for Lightroom users (version 12.3/Camera Raw 15.3). I have previously been using, and recommending, Apps such as Topaz DeNoise AI and DxO Pure Raw to suppress noise in high ISO images (as outlined in my Resolution and Noise seminar for Patrons), but I am now pleased to announce that the new Adobe Denoise feature is excellent (managing to retain fine detail while suppressing noise).

I have tried this feature out on many of my images captured at high ISO (5,000 and higher) and found the results to be excellent. The feature cannot, however, be applied to JPEG images so Topaz DeNoise AI will still be my recommendation for photographers shooting in the JPEG file format.

For more information check out the video above by Julieanne Kost (Adobe's imaging Evangelist).

NOTE > This feature is also available for Lightroom CC users (version 6.3) when using a Desktop/Laptop computer.
