The A7 turns 10 (Patreon)

In October 2013 Sony announced the A7 and A7R Full-Frame Mirrorless E-Mount cameras.

I was first shown the pre-production cameras in a hotel in Melbourne and was asked if I thought they would be a success for Sony. I said they would sell like the proverbial hotcakes.

The cameras were announced with just four full-frame E-Mount lenses. These were the FE 55mm F1.8 ZA, 35mm F2.8 ZA , the FE 28-70 kit zoom and FE 24-70 F4 ZA. Sony announced the FE 70-200 F4 G would be available 6 months later.
