#SundayRundown So Rukia's bankai was slightly hinted in the op. In it, we see characters who are gonna face off against each other, like Shinji vs Bambi, Bazz B vs Toshiro, and ofc Rukia vs As Nodt. She attacks him with a fire extinguisher and her hair is partially white in the shot afterwards. Recently, the 2nd soundtrack album for Bleach TYBW was released online. The cover is the image of Byakuya's hand holding Rukia's hand as she deactivates her bankai. Speaking of which, the music we hear as we see her bankai for the first time is called "Slip Away", sung by Ian Pitter, and is a newer version of "Never Meant To Belong" from the og series! Which reminds me, in the last episode, Ranji was given a completely new theme, called "The Rest Of Your Life" and it was sung by Hazel Fernandes. Who, ofc, sang the og number one track and TYBW bankai version. Shiro Sagisu is constantly outdoing himself, it's getting ridiculous at this point.

#SundayRundown Bleach TYBW From F for Fear to F for Frozen. Type F for Äs Nödt. The most beautifully manifested and subzero BAN-KAI: ❄️ Hakka no Togame.❄️ (Censure of the White Haze) Rukia's Zanpakutō is named Sode no Shirayuki ("Sleeve's White Snow") Revealed as a completely white blade, earning it the recognition as the most beautiful zanpakutō in Soul Society, it utilizes ice to attack, each of its abilities being labeled as "dances" as it’s command and being able to turn the surrounding thin air into a tower of ice freezing her enemies in place, her True Shikai unleashes its true power extent that can lower the temperature so cold that it reaches -273.15 Celsius (-459.7°F or “absolute zero” which only exists in certain parts of space) freezing Rukia's body and anyone or anything that her zanpakuto touches that she must constantly maintain to not affect her self, manifesting/resembling high maintenance beauty. Bankai drastically expands the range at which Rukia's absolute zero temperature freezes anything making it an all-encompassing, instantaneous power. However its power comes at great risk as a single misstep could end Rukia's life. Finally acknowledged by her brother Byakuya going from just a lonely foot soldier to one with a Bankai. Ep 6 part 1 the Ep 6 part 2 the 🔥HOTTEST🔥 ❄️COLDEST❄️ BAN-KAI BAN-KAI Regarding Äs Nödt Vollständig - Tatar Foras (“Fear of God”) Voice acting for this episode in sub had one of the longest recording sessions in anime history, supervised by Kubo himself as a General Supervisor for this entire arc adaptation. This episode proves why Byakuya had to survive and it was already in the manga, so not even anime original. Kubo knows how to bring things full circle and make use of something or someone even if he initially planned not to. This was the highlight of this cour that trended for the longest time throughout the whole weekend that it aired, even when up against competition of a pivotal episode of one of the other Big3 (OP) A beautifully poetic parallel is how Rukia’s Bankai is the white moon while Ichigo’s Final Getsuga is the Black sun. https://images.app.goo.gl/ABqG2AkEVxd8QRaf9

Bleach TYBW Episode 19- The White Haze Keyword Page 1: Reiokyu & Seireitei (“Soul King Palace & Court of Pure Souls”) “The distance between Soul King Palace and Seireitei is so great that ‘it would take the Shinigami a week to walk at a normal pace’. The Shinigami's basic movement style, Shunpo, is a high-speed movement technique that varies from person to person, and considering that the Squad Zero’s usual means of transportation is the Tenchūren (‘Heavenly-Pillar Palanquin’) this shows that the distance is considerable. In addition, there are 72 layers of protective barriers between the Soul Society above the Seireitei and the Soul King Palace, which suggests that travel between these places is not anticipatedly common as rare at best.   When Squad Zero returned to the Soul King Palace with Kurosaki Ichigo and others, Kūkaku Shiba launched the Tenchūren, based on the ‘Tongtian Dao Map’ given to her by Ichibē Hyōsube.” Episode 19 Keyword Page 2: Bankai: Hakka No Togame (“Final Release: Censure of the White Haze”) “Sode no Shirayuki (‘Sleeved White Snow ’), owned by Rukia, is considered to be the most beautiful ice, and signature snow type zanpakutō in the Soul Society. Its true ability is to reduce the user's own body temperature below the freezing point to absolute zero, where all molecular movements cease. With the Bankai's activation, a lake-like frozen mist is generated both underfoot and in the sky, and a pillar of frozen air originating from Rukia herself pierces through the centre. At the same time, the frozen mist also rushes to the tip of the sword and is released in a powerful burst. Enemies hit by this wave will have their entire body freeze solid, turning into ice dust and crumbling away.”

Gremmy Thoumeaux

I’m very excited to see next week’s episode as you can imagine.

Adan Guzman

I just found out she was using a fire extinguisher. I thought this whole time she was using a bucket of snow. 🤦

I

I see what you did there.

I

I think this my favourite episode of TYBW so far. Apparently I am a big fan of the eerie vibes lol. Äs Nodt is easily the best Quincy in my opinion. Such a sick ability with an interesting backstory that I'd absolutely love to see more of. His Vollständig is insane both visually and ability wise. He couldn't have been taken out by a better opponent. I remember cheering so hard at my laptop screen for Rukia when their matchup started when I first watched this lol. I think this was a phenomenal showcase for both characters.

Erl Sweatpants

Gremmy vs kenpachi. The matchup that we've been waiting for

Luker

Probably not the end tho 😂

Erl Sweatpants

They cant imagine how hype this fight will be

Esther

In four weeks, y’all should 100% watch the subbed version of that episode. Trust me.

I

Also, the run Cour 2 has been on since episode 16...and the way this run just keeps going...Easily the best Cour to me (so far anyways, I'm sure Cour 4 will be insane).

#SundayRundown #Bleach Probably one of my favorite moments in the series. Just how beautiful it was in the manga and I'm happy it was given justice in the anime, Rukia obviously is not the main protagonist or even the most intriguing character, however she is incredibly important to Kubo and thus Bleach as a whole, she was the very first character he created for bleach and based all the soul reapers on her design, the black and white uniform, she is also the most popular character and the has the most popular zanpakuto based on the most recent popularity polls. I think for many people that while Ichigo is the poster child, Rukia herself is not just a soul reaper, she is THE soul reaper and when Kubo made her all the years ago, he made Bleach.

ispeckz--

Rukia’s Bankai is just absolutely gorgeous and they did it complete justice in the anime 🔥 This adaptation has hype moments every episode and I can’t wait to see the rest!

Mugen Shimura

So... that quote Byakuya says at the end there. He knowingly or unknowingly basically rebuked Komamura there. "Know that there is nothing that can be saved by a sword swung in exchange for one's own life" Komamura sacrificed everything for his revenge and now that he swung his sword in exchange for his own life, he can no longer save anything.

Tafadzwa manzini

#Sunday rundown No joke I still think they don't realise that's the first time she used her bankai . Amazing

LegitIQ

came here once again to say that the next ep is peak

Kafkaesque

#Sunday Rundown Finally, Rukia's Bankai has been revealed, super beautiful. Wallpaper material I feel like the reveal was ruined in this reaction by the fact that the normies have always thought that she has a bankai as we can hear from Navi at 6:05 "she does have bankai taken from her right?" and also back in episode 14 at 31:45 when they discussed rukia's non existing (at the time) bankai, she only acquired it after training at the soul king's palace with Renji. I don't know if they would have a better reaction if in their mind, Rukia is not capable of bankai (only captains and very very limited lieutenants can do it). Other than that, great episode. Super excited for the next reaction. Can't wait for Pat's reaction to his favorite character's moment to shine (even though he still limits his power with the eyepatch (not a spoiler, they're already at cour 3)

Step B.

Your vision is rough 🤣

Step B.

Never Meant to Belong actually isn’t completely new. If I can remember correctly it’s actually from the Diamond Dust Rebellion soundtrack but it’s a different vibe. The remix is super good

Step B.

Cour 3 for me easily. As a manga reader seeing all the new stuff that they added and how it all flows is just too good. Plus the opening and ending for next Cour are just peak

SUNDAY RUNDOWN# - The name of Rukia's zanpakto is "Sode No Shiraiyuki". This means "Sleeved White Snow". - The name of Rukia's bankai is "Hakka no Togame". This means "Censure of The White Haze". (Censure means 'Severe Disapproval'. I reckon Rukia's bankai greatly increases the potency and range of her shikai's freezing powers, covering the area in a Haze of White death. Very.... cool. - Your reaction to Rukia saying Bankai seemed a bit confused. Just to clarify, this is the first time she has used Bankai. Rukia has never used Bankai prior to this episode. She never knew Bankai prior to this episode. Bankai is actually a very rare thing to achieve. If they don't say Bankai, they haven't used Bankai. It may be beneficial to answer this question (it will help it stick in your memory): What does Rukia's shikai do, and what does her Bankai do? RANA FOR PRESIDENT 2029!

Temperistic

#SundayRundown I think the reason why they started showing Quincy's backstories here is because As Nodt was a perfect example of how Yhwach got a lot of his minions. Not every Quincy is a born fighter. Some were just regular people who were approached by him for an opportunity to have a better life. Reminds me of how Orochimaru from Naruto would take advantage of depressed/confused people to get them to come fight for him. Yhwach recruited sick people, kids, and suicidal people. Basically, anyone who would be very loyal to him for saving them or giving them a purpose. As Gaara said from the Kimimaro fight, "Perhaps the companionship of an evil person is preferable to loneliness."

Nabeshin

Now you know why everyone was TRYING to tell you guys over and over again that Rukia didn't have a bankai. 'Cause she didn't until now, and it's kind of a big deal that she gets it. 😛 It's also a big deal that Byakuya rescues her, which I still think is lame. Whether someone forced Kubo's hand because Byakuya's popular, or Kubo just got inspired by Oda, either way, that beautiful tragic death scene of Byakuya should've stuck, with Rukia having to come to terms with his absence. Either have her be by herself and reveal that her true power is not eliminating fear but fighting through it, OR if she must be rescued by somebody, have it be Renji, since those two get even fewer significant moments with each other than Ichigo and Orihime. You could even have Byakuya coming to her at the end as a vision, as has been done a few times before in this show. That said, this is still one of my favorite episodes, and they truly captured the beauty and danger of Rukia's power in an even more striking way than the manga did. Also, while, in general, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka is the one who does Äs Nodt justice...I have to say I too was impressed by Elijah Ungvary's screaming! When he goes Vollständig, suddenly the dub is on par with the sub for a moment. While I didn't like the next fight in the manga very much, they really go all out for the anime in a way I can't deny. I'm anticipating, in fact, that it will be my favorite Normies reaction of this arc...possibly of this whole show so far. 😆

#SundayRundown Rukia didn’t have cuts form on her hand, she literally almost fragmented and cracked like an ice sculpture 😭 Rukia’s zanpakutou is said to be the most beautiful in all of the Soul Society, and her Bankai form is an externalization of what her zanpakutou spirit looks like. Beautiful indeed. (Y’all really gotta watch the Zanpakutou Rebellion filler arc, very good for insight.)

dardo

It is as nodts voice actors first role, he killed it. I love the sub too.

Cation

So happy you guys are enjoying it so far.. This episode was so peak and love Rukia's Bankai. Btw you guys should rewatch the scene in sub with Äs Nödt, the voice actor is scary af.

Shockzz1234

FINALLY - you guys can say and think that Rukia has a Bankai and be CORRECT lmao.

Kail Andrews

#SundayRundown Bleach This was a great episode. Now regarding Ywhach, there’s a manga chapter called “God like you” that takes place in this episode but has not been adapted in the anime up to this day. The chapter in question details Ywhach origin and lets you understand what kind of being he is, this information is very helpful and helps understanding future events and revelations. Due to this and things said by the producers there are theories that a more elaborate backstory is being made for cour 4 and a lot your question will be answer there. Also, with As nodt’s flashback we are introduce to a concept that the fandom calls “Old gen and New gen”. This refers to the Sternritters, as you could see As nodt was in very modern hospital which means he’s from our era or close, while some other Quincys are stated to have been with Ywhach for over a thousand years, with this information we can deduced that there two types of Sternriters, those who were with Ywhach since the beginning and those who were recruited recently. This is also why people believe that they do not age in the shadow realm, since some of the old gen look the same even after 1000 years, so who do you think is from old gen and who is from new gen, based on what you have seen and their personalities.

PKKite

IMO Elijah did a perfect As Nodt!

PKKite

Yeah no switching causes trouble every time for never a good enough reason.

malealoo

They did around 27 or 28 minutes in

Jay Mack

Rukia bankai and luffy gear 5 was introduced on the same day and Rukia bankai got more views and hype than luffy gear 5.

Justin Chere

So it you didn't fully understand Rukia's shikai Sode no Shirayuki allows Rukia to lower her body temperature to absolute zero which means anything that her or her sword comes into contact with will freeze instantly . Her bankai Hakka no Togame causes the blade of her sword to turn from metal to pure ice and releases a massive explosion of cold that flash freezes anything within her vesinity including herself

che n straker

🤦🏿‍♂️🤦🏿‍♂️🤦🏿‍♂️🤦🏿‍♂️ paying for uncut with a blurred screen is crazy work.

Neyder502

True. Another ep peak

Teddy S

Suraj asking us a couple of weeks ago to stop commenting that Rukia does not have a Bankai because they they know it now and in the future will be quickly corrected did, in fact, turn out to be a lie. Semi joking aside, Rukia's Bankai was everything I hoped for, beauty and power.

Solebat

That's non edited

Kuro

#SundayRundown #Bleach Rukia was in a similar situation to Renji where she didnt quite have full access to her swords power or understanding of how it works and assumed it produced ice from the tip of the sword when in fact it is all about body temperature control. When she meet Ichigo again during the Arrancar Arc, she told Ichigo her Zanpakuto was the most beautiful among all the Zanpakuto and her bankai is proof of that. It is also perhaps one of the most looked forward scene in the whole of arc ever since the reveal in the manga, Also in regards to As Nodt, the japanese voice actor killed it, since it was Yoshitsugu Matsuoka who voiced Kirito from Sword Art Online and Betelgeuse from Re Zero

Faisal

#SundayRundown bleach TYBW I hope you guys react to the Zanpakutō Rebellion arc is Anime canon and they show us the form spirits of Zanpakutō and some people think it's not canon but that's not true it's shown in Bleach TYBW Part 1 Episode 5 in Byakuya's memories of the fight that happened in the Zanpakutō Rebellion arc and Rukia Bankai form is the same as her Zanpakutō spirits form

Christy

Sorry if this is a repeat. I didn't see it above/below but I may have missed it. Also may be in the discord. However, in case anyone doesn't realize they did some extra effect work with the sound design on this episode. When Äs Nödt appears, he brushes against her left hand. The first thing he says before he appears in front of her is designed to come out of the left speakers/headphones like he's whispering in her ear. Sets the scene to be unsettling from the very beginning.

Castiel_01x

It's literally not canon my guy. There's no way that arc fits into the timeline.

Akimitzu

this episode 100% needs to be watched in SUB and with headphones. AS NODTS voice actor did such an amazing job, I haven't heard voice acting this amazing in YEARS. The sound direction also was phenomenal this episode. EDIT - I see you guys did catch a few snips of SUB at the end, fun fact - As Nodts voice actor in SUB is Inosuke from Demon Slayer :)

Kenpacho

Why complain....it's extra bleach content..

Kristin Dominguez

Rukia's bankai is like the fold to Ichigo's mugetsu

Faisal

Bleach manga Chapter 229 and anime episode 138, a timeskip happened for a whole month and we didn't see what happened in that month. The Zanpakuto Rebellion Arc fits in this month. Why? Because of Ichigo's Hollow form, which happened in Visored's training also happened in the Zanpakuto Rebellion Arc Also why do they put on a fight that happened in filler in TYBW? The only reason is Kubo wants this arc to Be canon

G’Rale Gambino

#SundayRundown #bleach As nodt Debut was Halloween cour 1 episode 4 ,,,, squad members were screaming horrifically & now we now why it was to such extent ,,,, I’m a manga reader I thought they would make episode 5 , (when he put byakuya through the same treatment) the Halloween episode , but making it his debut the first moment on the screen hits harder long term rather than the following episode … with rukia , absolute zero is her ”is one of her SHikai abilities ,,,, absolute zero is actually universally impossible (as we know of) to happen naturally anywhere in our verse not even man made in labs …. Her Bankai automatically has to be a 5- 10x increase on top of an already impossible phenomena ab0 and looked good doing it ,,,,,one of the best episodes of the year came out same week as G5 and I ask you who did it better ,,,, but I like op too lol

Miasimon

Tbh, you can say that about every episode this arc. TYBW is just peak on average.

Masked Void

[Tidbits] - Some content about Senjumaru's from 0 Squad (Gold Arms lady) was removed, it shows that she's the one who made the new clothes for Ichigo, Rukia, Renji, and Byakuya and they serve a purpose aside from just looking cool. - The Scale is a hint at what Jugram Haschwalths' ability is. Given what he said, Cang Du survived his 1st attack, which was fortunate, but then we saw the scale tilt. (Make of that what you will) - In the Manga, there exists a little more context to what As Nodt Fears. He exclaims: "My only fear is to be rebuked by His Majesty and have all of this Body taken from me" As we saw with the glimpses of his backstory, he was apparently always in a state close to death and that's a state that he never wants to return to. (Sidenote - We learn from Klub Outside Q&A #281 that the Schrifts that the Quincy have are based on traumas they experienced in life or something they lost during times of war) - Believe it or not, Some fans drew issues with or felt that Rukia's reaction to Byakuya was forced, but as we know Rukia for a long time had never really felt seen by Byakuya, and learning that she was adopted thanks to a dying wish and not her skills certainly wouldn't help sway those feelings, so having him acknowledge her is pretty dope. - As Nodt's Death brings up an interesting topic, Yhwach comes across as an even more sadistic ruler, he seems to take advantage of the Quincy who were looking for someone or something to save them, and he appears much like a false Messiah, promising them everything while actually seeking to take everything. - Kirinji from the 0 Squad is known for his speed and he believed that it would take a week, Ichigo saying it'll take only half a day is a nice little humble brag. (Sidenote 2: As Nodts obsession with Senbonzakura is interesting, I personally believe it's symbolic. As Nodt seemed to have been living a bedridden life, so his life was likely devoid of seeing beautiful things and he likely felt that life itself was not beautiful. Senbonzakura is just that, this beautiful tool that he can use to employ the same fear that he was forced to endure.) Sidenote 3: Speaking of Quincy deaths, a month or so ago Kubo actually revealed in QnA 733 that when Quincy die, they go to a place that is separate from the Soul Society. [Reposted]

dannydarko27

It doesn't matter which way the Quinces die they get absorbed regardless. James was killed in battle and was still absorbed.

Kayso

Ichigo's drip is insane after each training session he gets lol. Big W to the goat Byakuya for being by Rukia's side and Rukia's reaction to Byakuya acknowledging her was so wholesome. Her bankai form looks so similar to her Zanpakuto spirit from the Zanpakuto Rebellion arc (the filler you guys skipped). @Penguin should show you guys a picture of all the captains & lieutenants Zanpakuto spirits one of these days on Sunday Rundown I wanna see your reactions on how they look. I think you seen a few of them so far from a prior sunday rundown if I recall. We know Renji is the monkey and snake. Also glad you guys checked out As Nodt's voice in sub, it's so much more menacing and creepier, coming from the biggest dub advocate but of course I'm not taking away from his dub voice because he did a great job. That scream was insane, and this is my first time hearing it too cause all of us watched this sub ofc as the cours were dropping. For the people who always trash dub and never give it its props show them As Nodt screaming lmao

Kollie123

I wasn’t super satisfied with him back in cour 1 but he seriously turned up when the character goes berserk

TkOHarley Museum

Some of it takes away from core themes of Bleach in my opinion. Like Zabimaru now being a sassy woman and bratty child, takes away from the gravity of Renji embracing the snake half of his zanpakto. And then theres the obvious contradictions that go on with Old Man Zangestu. Zanpakto Rebellion arc will just confuse the Normies. The only external piece of media they really should see is the first Bleach movie, since that actually was made canon.

Faisal

I don't agree with you because this arc shows the Zanpakuto spirits form ‏was designed by Kubo himself and this arc shows the real goal of White Ichigo or Zangetsu which is to protect Ichigo in this arc the villain gave White Ichigo the chance to leave Ichigo's inner world he refused and protected Ichigo also in the CFYOW and SAFWY novel which is Canon this arc was mentioned makes this arc Canon ‏also people say the first Bleach movie is not Canon didn't accept the first movie Until it appears in the Bleach TYBW ‏even though Tite Kubo said that people should see the first movie and yet some people still refuse to accept the movie as Canon refuse to accept this arc ‏to be canon even though We see it in the Bleach TYBW arc

Infinitely Bi

AS NODTZ is probably my Favorite Quincy for a number of reasons lol but it mostly boils down to me actually being AFRAID of him lol.. When i first read the Manga yrs ago, the first thing was seeing Byakuya DIE lol THEN we get Rukia going all out, yet it took a NEWLY developed BANKAI to finally KILL As Nodt.. Rukia definitely earns a Captain title, at the VERY least lol

Trae Young Supremacist

man wish yall watched sub, its like 1 million times better for asnodts voice (Edit: Realized yall already said yall would )

Redding Tier

I prefer the dub. There are a lot of voices I prefer in dub and it's easier to read tone in English than in Japanese
