Now you guys know that Pernida and Gerard are the Soul King’s left arm and heart respectively but do you remember after Kenpachi fought a certain Quincy that left behind a brain in a jar? The CFYOW imply to varying degrees that brain could also be an aspect of the Soul King although it’s still not 100% confirmed, just implied. The leftover brain was taken and was then used as a core component to create an artificial hybrid soul. As the novel goes on, the soul’s personality resembles the Quincy that brain belonged to.

#SundayRundown Bleach Askin’s performance goes really underrated sometimes, he is one of, if not, the most successful Sternriter. He went undefeated in the second invasion, even though he didn’t fight anyone, but was the only Quincy chosen by Yuha to ascend to the Royal Palace and was promoted to be a part of his royal guard. Remind you that he is just a dude, while the rest of the guards are either parts of the soul king or immortal angels, yet he has outlived 2 of them. In the battle against squad 0 he was the only one to survive Oetsu’s attack, then he was going to defeat him but lost only because they jumped him and used the perfect counter to his ability. Then when fighting Tenjuro he outsmarted and defeated him even though he was a counter to his abilities. Now he tricked and defeated Grimmjaw, then he managed to take down Ichigo and his friends, even when Yoruichi and her brother jumped him he overcame their abilities and defeated Yoruichi’s brother and put her on the ropes. No one else has fought so many main characters and remain almost undefeated, the only ones who come close are Yuha, Uryu and Jugram for obvious reasons. Just as he said, looking like a henchman makes everyone underestimate him.

Realisticly I could actually see Soi Fon doing it (only IF she does the second strike like immediately), or if anyone could actually still decapitate him.

On Klub Outside someone asked Kubo: If Nakk Le Vaar were to be injected with Gin’s Bankai, Kamishini no Yari's poison without any prior contact would he die? Or can he withstand it? Kubo Answers: As long as he hasn’t had any prior contact with Gin’s Spiritual Pressure he’ll die from it. When you remember that this Bankai can break down the target at the cellular level and would’ve killed Aizen if he wasn’t immortal or didn’t evolve to a butterfly after that shows that this Bankai was LETHAL.

There were 2 “Kaiju” battles in the Arrancar saga. The first one which Chris was talking about was Choe Neng Poww who beat Ikkaku who failed to protect his pillar and became a giant whale-like creature who fought and lost to Sajin’s Bankai. Then of course there’s Yammy who despite was Espada 0, got off-screened, not that anyone cared. But believe me, Gerard is certainly NO Yammy and will actually feel like a threat.

I wanna give some perspective in defense of Ichigoat and the gang. Askin’s ability “The Death Dealing” is one of the most difficult abilities to fight against in the entire series. Not only is he a bad matchup for Ichigo or really anybody who relies more on force and pure power, but you basically have to kill him in one shot if you wanna win and there’s a very very small handful of characters capable of doing something like that to begin with. Yamamoto could’ve showed up to help Ichigo and the same thing would’ve happened

#SundayRundown #BLEACH Ok. So, from your discussion, it seems there are two things you've forgotten about: 1. KIRIO IS A SUPPORT You talked about how the lady who "gets big and small" (i.e. Kirio) is the least impressive member of Squad 0, because she doesn't whoop ass like the rest of them...but that's because she facilitated all the ass-whoopin'! Her food is what powered the chosen ones up (Ichigo, Rukia, Renji, Byakuya) so they could withstand their training, and she created the very arena that held Mr. Baja and his merry band, so the rest of Squad 0 could fight them. This "womb" tree arena was so strong, even Baja (pre Soul King absorption) couldn't break it, and had to do a tricky teleportation maneuver to escape. In fact, while all the others eventually fought, initially, Senjumaru, Kirinji, AND Kirio all set things up to facilitate Oetsu being the one to slaughter all the Royal Guard, because they all recognize that he's the one who's the most proficient at killing. Hence why he was the one to make the decision to have Senjumaru go bankai for efficiencies sake, rather than himself. Squad 0 always works best as a team, and Kirio is the ultimate support unit. Oh, and also, she is the one who invented the method by which soul candy entities, Kon, Ururu, Jinta, and Nemu were all created. So there's that. 2. KOMAMURA HAS GONE BANKAI 4 TIMES You were thinking Komamura (dog-man) "turns into a kaiju", and only did it once before this arc. It's his BANKAI that's the kaiju, not him, and he's brought it out 4 times. The first was against Kenpachi during the Rukia-rescue, and we unfortunately didn't get to see that fight. The second was against Poww, the big Wailord dude who whooped Ikkaku's ass and destroyed the pillar he was guarding because Ikkaku refused to go bankai. Poww was DECISIVELY smoked. The third time was against Tousen, and long-story-short, Komamura almost died, but eventually, he and Hisagi were victorious. The fourth and final time was after he had given his heart to his elder and unlocked crazy rage mode for his bankai, which he used to end Bambi. Well...not "end" per se. She was almost dead, and Giselle finished her off so she could turn her into a zombie. 💀

#SundayRundown I really hope you guys have noticed the subtle hints of how ridiculously strong Renji is at this point. Not only did Shinji have full trust in him to hold Gerard off, but he is the literal only person that Gerard even has a dialogue with. If you also go back to look (something I didn't even notice until the rewatch) Renji is in the front of everyone. Guarding everyone, including Byakuya. Not sure if you recall, but throughout the Soul Society arc it was made clear that Renji by whatever means wanted to gain the strength to surpass Byakuya. Well he did. He's that strong. The voice actors for both the English and Japanese do a PHENOMENAL job too. Renji sounds more confident and intimidating since he learned the proper power of both the snake and most recently the baboon. Just wanted to give perspective on how far my boy has come. Especially when Ichigo has gotten slumped twice in a row, and Kenpachi absolutely cooked. The double standards 😂 great reaction

@Ichigoat I’m pretty sure Ichigo and his friends are all 17 during TYBW; they were 15 pre Fullbring arc and Fullbring arc was two years later and TYBW happens not that long after the Fullbring arc ended.

I do like that all three users of Shunko we've seen so far have a different element when they used it - Yoruichi is Lightning, Yushiro is Fire and Soi-Fon is Wind. Also, as much as i want to fight back against the Ichigo disrespect, he has literally not won a fight this whole cour (his last W was against the Femritters last cour). I mean, those Ls come against Yhwach himself, Uryu and Askin (who's a bad bad match up for someone like Ichigo) and he hasn't even used his Bankai yet so there's SOME reasons for it, but still, it's pretty funny ngl. Sorry Ichigo, love you.

@BXAA Ichigo's birthday is July 15th and his mother died on June 17th. Tybw takes place almost exactly 9 years after her death, making Ichigo 1 month shy of 19. Orihime is 2 months younger than Ichigo, making her 18, 3 months of 19. There's no confirmed time between LA and TYBW I believe

I love Bleach: the characters, the soundtrack, the new animation... but the Quincys as villains are so-so for me. Like, they literally killed 80% of the Seretei and nobody is even angry at them anymore. People were pissed at Aizen until the very end 🤣 And the Sternritters powers are way too complicated at this point. Remember Grimmjow? He's one of the coolest characters ever and he's just a tiger with claws. That's it. Ichigo's Bankai? A black katana. Man, even the Arrancars felt more human than the Sternritters do. It should have been the other way around.

I wonder if it has something to do with the fact that Ichigo is only 17 and has already killed 1 person (Kugo). Perhaps Kubo didn't want him to kill again so soon? Hollows and Arrancars that get cleansed by a zanpakato are one thing... but Quincys are actually human beings (no matter how weird they depict them). And the Soul King thingy was just... a statue at that point 🤣

These last episodes you can tell are just teases to cour 4, they really made this all a set up. Ichigo getting off screened by Askin is crazy, but let's put this into perspective. Ichigo is for sure stronger than all the schutzstaffel. BUT he would most likely lose to all of them as well, similar to how Kenpachi was easily taken out by Pernida because of how broken they are. This is also why Uryu tried to keep his friends away from the elites. Askin can literally adapt to just about anything no matter what ichigo would have tried. Same with Gerard he would literally just convert his wounds into a godly size until he gets stronger.
