I think the big catch 22 of this show is in that the general appeal is in the whole family dynamic they have going, and it really becomes something else if/when Loid or Yor figure eachother. That said though it makes ZERO sense for Loid to have not at least taken actions like this or be even a little sus of Yor before now. Just one of those things you gotta take at face value XD

Yeah Yuri’s a creep lol I know that there are rare families out there that literally have this dynamic because of some tragedy and the parents die and then the younger sibling’s love map gets all screwed up and their elder sibling becomes their whole world…. But like… this is when you need THERAPY because it’s NOT OKAY OR HEALTHY

Just a couple of reminders of information that has been revealed so far: Yor works for some secret organization from the East. And according to what she said, when she killed that dude in EP2, one that gets rid of traitors and protects the East. Twilight is a spy for the west. They are technically on opposite sides. Finding out about each other would not be a good thing. Despite Twilight wanting to keep peace and protect both sides, he is still a spy working deep undercover behind enemy lines. He is a citizen in the country, yet would work against them... thus a traitor to their eyes. Doesn't matter if he has good intentions, that wouldn't be seen on with kind eyes, if he were discovered. Twilights mission failing could mean war between the East and West... something that means that tens of thousands, if not more, lives rests on his shoulders and this mission. Suspecting Yor, might seem shitty... but it is very understandable after what he discovered about her brother. Anya is terrified that others discover her ability, because everyone else found it creepy and brought her back for adoption. At this point in time, while Twilight is certainly having some real feelings for Yor and Anya, I can't say that she is wrong to keep it hidden. I have my doubts about what Twilight would pick at this point in time, if he found out. He would not send her away, but I think he would use her and start viewing her as more of an asset than a daughter... again because tens or hundreds of thousands of lives rests on his mission and despite how it looks, if he had to, he would still abandon them in favor of the mission. Kids can be very perceptive at times and see problems when the parents are trying to keep them hidden... even without reading thoughts. It is not that unusual, as I am sure many parents will tell you. Also you really can't blame people for not figuring it out. As far as we know, telepaths are as much a myth in that world as it is in ours. Think about it... how many other explanations would you come up with for something like this, before arriving at mind-reader, in the real world? Ask yourself that question every time, you wonder why nobody figures it out.
