Honestly came to dislike Wendy / Marcy this episode. I think it comes down to her being a kid. Humanizing the aliens, particularly the face-hugger and Xenomorph, does not work when their method of reproduction is to wrap your unwilling face in its gross body, implant an embryo, and wait for that embryo to burst out of your chest, killing you definitely and probably anyone else in a very large radius. Point of fact, I now actually only like Morrow, and I viewed him as a purely evil villain for the first 3 or 4 episodes.

Tf Morrow is still a villain he's willing to manipulate and threaten a child's family, and is totally fine using another human being as incubator knowing its gonna kill them

In comparison with all the other characters on the show (Arthur being a notable exception, RIP) I still find him far more human and likable. But yes, I agree manipulating Arush (sp?) is pretty dark. Though at this point I’m extremely skeptical he means to follow through on assaulting, torturing, or killing the mom and / or brothers. Who would you rank as a favorite, mostly main character, that you’d also call a good “person” (including hybrids and cyborgs but not synths (Kirsh is most definitely not a good guy and has his own agenda that’s making me think of David from Prometheus).

SergeTroy

The saddest thing in the show for me is the death of a competent, moral person that holds to their ethics. RIP Arthur, you were a good guy.

I personally like Hermit, smee and wendy. I don't believe Wendy has done anything wrong she's just a confused child trying to form her own identity while being surrounded by and being influenced by characters who are bad people (mainly kirsh and boy kavalier) imo. I don't see what morrow has done to deserves that level of faith in.

Eyeleen vs Black Philip staring contest needs to happen. It’s interesting how Morrow and Kirsh end up as the relatable being an old human cyborg and outdated synthetic. Morrow is loyal to a dead Yutani’s dream and Kirsh is being the ultimate scientist using everyone in Neverland. Morrow knows Kabakier sabotaged the ship and said nothing and Kirsh know Morrow has compromised the Lost Boys but is willing to let it play out. Both are playing chess with each other.

How would it be possible to go to sleep in one body and wake up in a different body, without transplanting the self-identifying portions of the brain from the old body to the new? if you created a copy of these portions of the brain, that'd be like making a doppelganger instead of transferring consciousness from one body to another, right?

SergeTroy

Question: If Eye-leen (“the Eye”) got loose and busted into Hermit’s (Wendy’s brother) skull, replacing one of his eyes for itself, do you A) feel Wendy would kill him (for any number of reasons, including as a mercy), and B) if you feel she would kill him, would you feel a bit of “I told you so” satisfaction in it? That last part because I feel she’s treating all the aliens like I did my good guy and bad guy action figures as a little kid, hanging out when they weren’t skirmishing. And even understanding she is basically still 12 (?) I want her to get a very rough shake and wake up to the world she lives on.

SergeTroy

Agreed. The only way I see an actual transfer of human consciousness / the soul from one body to another is if you move the brain and maybe other parts as well between. And for the purposes of being a “hybrid” you have to somehow add a bunch of cybernetic components, PLUS figure out how to make the gray matter effectively immortal. The cybernetic components within the Alien Universe I can see, but not the immortality.
