Voiced by Kappei Yamaguchi, who's L in Death Note. Dub voiced by Sonny Strait, Krillin (my favorite character) in DBZ. Also, often voiced awesomely by Marketa in the OP streams.

A SBS fun corner fact for this week: Oda sometimes bases the names of characters on famous pirates. Zoro’s, Morgan’s and Alvida’s names were based on the names of famous pirates: Roronoa Zoro = Francois l’Olonnais Captain Morgan = Henry Morgan Alvida = Awilda

Yassop is the most prominent dead beat dad of One Piece, he makes Goku look like a role model dad. I'm with Navy on how is Yassop sending money home, just look at what Ussop is wearing overalls with no undershirt. Also, good catch Spidey on Zoro sensing people.

Kappei Yamaguchi has insane range tbh, L and Usopp are like completely different lol. He's also the voice of Inuyasha.

#SundayRundown - Usopp is finally here! I'll share some nice notes about his name. It's a combo of two different things, first - Aesop. Aesop was the name of an ancient Greek storyteller, known for Aesop's Fables. One of Aesop's Fables is The Boy Who Cried Wolf! Next is the word "Uso" which is Japanese for "lie". Oda combines them both to get - Usopp! As he's a guy that tells a lot of tales, many of them being lies. Also of course his nose is modelled after Pinocchio. Adding further to the whole lying gimmick of his lol. His nose was actually shorter than this when he first appeared in the manga (though still long compared to regular noses lol), then as time went on it got longer. The anime just skipped to his longer nose appearance from the start lol. Also Also - Jango and the kids (The Usopp Pirates) aren't in the live action. Which is a shame, especially with Jango (really wanted to see how or even if he'd work in live action lol), but need's must lol. And finally - Jango's voice actor is nice. That's all i'll say on that ;)

Be on the lookout for a character in the background known as Pandaman. He’s like the One Piece version of Where’s Waldo that solely serves as a visual gag throughout the anime and manga and has the head of a panda. His first appearance in the anime will be on Episode 16.

yes first episode, they talked about it had nothing to do with how far the anime is. Pretty much this: they watched naruto , bleach and a lot of other anime in english and a lot of people hated it so this time they gonna watch one anime in jap and some people will not like it but you can never make everybody happy and english dub fanboys already got a lot of other anime reations in english from them.

Hating Naruto dub and their reactions to it was/is wild. Naruto Dub was/is unarguably better for multiple reasons. every single episode you got tons of "Sub Fanboys" and "Purists" hardcore bitching. I could understand bitching for it if it actually IS better and/or is ruining the experience but more than half the time it didn't/doesn't seem like that's the case. I don't remember ever once seeing someone say a valid reason in the comments for WHY they should switch other then the fan's simply thinking its better/liking it more with no actual valid reason stated. They simply want them to see it the way THEY saw it for either Nostalgia's sake and/or simply Purism and/or simply being a "fanboy" of one or the other like you say.
