Watch the GL animated series so you can know them you fu…wonderful people! •Having Razer there probably helped the green shield against the anti matter wave. Blue Lanterns give Greens a power boost just by being close. Hope boosts will. The Losers comic Chris is thinking of is a reimagined version I’m pretty sure the Barnacle Boy Spidey saw was a classic Aqualad What the hell? That wasn’t Mark Hamill as Joker. They messed up and left in a temporary voice over, but they fixed that! This version isn’t supposed to still be available! There was a DC Watchmen crossover comic that I’m pretty sure basically says the Watchmen universe is the DC universe without Superman. I think it’s like having a person of such power and goodness affects the nature of the universe or something, idk Things probably got shaken up with James Gunn deciding almost everything was gonna be part of the new canon, but I hope we get to a new third phase of the DCAMU, and one not so quickly played out

They did confirm at New York Comic Con that the next animated movies is a three part adaptation of Batman: Knightfall.

#SundayRundown And so concludes the shared DC Animated Movie Universe. So far WB hasn’t made anything set in the newly established universe, and it’s unknown if they ever will. Direct to video animated movies for DC in general have gone quiet after this. Most recently just announced was a four part animated adaptation of Batman’s Knightfall storyline which is set to start releasing in 2026.

#Sunday Rundown there really this meta narrative with these three movies like how after these movies james gunn universe starts with Creature Commando the first animated thing to come out after this or how Blue Beetle, Peacemaker, The Question are all own by Charleston Comics which got brought by DC in 89 so the question choosing to reject the new univerese might be them saying james might not use some of these characters cause of licensing issues some more so than others even though i'm not the biggist fan of seeing the things i enjoy die it was nice hearing kevin Conroy as Batman and even seeing the Super Friends in HD

#sundayrundown The military group was The Losers. They had a short in the Constantine House of Mystery collection (where you guys chose to only watch the Constantine short) that showed how they wound up fighting dinosaurs. There was also a Kamandi short and a short where Blue Beetle (Ted Kord version), Question, Captain Atom and Nightshade battled Psycho-Pirate when he was Dr. Spectro. They had to cram a lot of connected content into a much shorter run than the previous universe had. Speaking of the previous, WOW. We finally got to see what Constantine had Flash do to reset things, and I never saw that coming. He turned Flash into Typhoid Barry (yes I thought of that line even as it was said in dialogue) to kill Darkseid in his cradle and created the unstable multiverse by mistake. Perfect setup for Wonder Woman's beautiful sacrifice to create the DCU. I'm guessing that with this version of Constantine not going through the portal to merge in, the DCU Constantine will be less of a dick :-).

#SundayRundown - this was absolute peak! From all the characters, universe and connection to the prior universe, this was a really good wrap up to it all. I loved the callbacks to various universes and shows like Super Friends, Teen Titans and BTAS/Justice League verse I don’t know if you guys talked about it in the uncut, but the blue Lantern was Razor from that episode in Young Justice. That’s essentially where y’all learned about all the Lantern Corp stuff.

I mean they only saw him in one episode a while ago. Maybe if he was a Blue/Red like he became there that might’ve reminded them better

Okay, I think out of all the animated DC shows I've seen Chris react to that this one is top of the list for his most funniest quips, particularly the Wonder Woman/Dinosaur lasso joke and the aside about J'onn telling people it's him whenever he possesses people. I'm sure there were more but those two stood out for me for now. Suraj had some good ones too; "Bat-lash..meet Man"..."A black, a bat and a woman walk into a bar"...I play these reactions in the BG while working and those stood out enough to make me lol.

#SundayRundown The Absolute Universe exists simultaneously with the current main DC universe. It’s a bit different to the usual restarts, it’s a universe Darkseid made out of his energy and separated from the main universe once he learned he was a fundamental pillar. It’s not what we saw here cause in the AU, Wonder Woman is raised in Hell. There’s also a storyline that integrates the Watchmen into DC which explores Superman as another pillar of the universe.

#SundayRundow wow what a ride for context the comic for crisis on infinite earth came out in 1985 and it took 40 years to get it on screen there are still so many stand alone movies to watch but you guys earned a 4 month hiatus

I hate the redesign of Antimonitor. What a boring design he has in this. Anytime they just make a character all black its so lazy. Blue and Yellow like the original might be too colourful sure, but you could at least go with dark blue and faded yellow or something. Rorschach from Watchmen was based on The Question. As you discussed and mentioned the other characters like Ted Kord Blue Beetle, Alan Moore wasnt able to use the actual character so he made a similar character. Thats why they had him do a Rorschach at the end

I honestly thought that they were gonna doo doomsday clock with this run. I hope who ever buys warner bros continues it. I would love for this universe to go into Darkseid war and eventually Batmetal.
