There's a lot that could've been fixed with the plot and production, but the one thing I really hate was they got Adam Beach to play a villain then immediately kill him off. That's like getting Denzel Washington for two scenes then blowing his head off.

Can we all just agree that “THE Suicide Squad” was a dumb title for a sequel to this movie? James Gunn added the “THE” as a joke to the 2021 movie and wanted to call it: “Dogs Of War,” but for some reason the executives decided to use “The Suicide Squad,” as the official title. I thought it was a show rather than a movie. It was like “THE Final Destination” all over again.

What version of the film? Theatrical or Extended? I've looked at the intros to both reaction and uncut and it's not mentioned before the film starts. As you've all seen the Theatrical the Extended version would have been interesting for the reaction, but I don't understand why this information isn't given out any more.

Hot take I actually like this version of the joker, I enjoy that he has his own version of caring and loving Harley. I honestly want to see more of them being a toxic couple who are awful for each other but love each other. There are plenty of worse jokers, looking at you young justice, and even some jokers that are done well but just aren’t what I like about the character. That’s the thing about these old characters there’s so many different versions and styles that each do their own thing. I prefer the clown prince of crime joker over the more edgy nihilistic jokers we’ve been getting for a while.

I like to imagine that the “Thunderbolts” took a page from this movie when it comes to taking a character that’s on the cover and in the trailer only to kill them off early in the movie without contributing much to the plot. Taskmaster was the Slipknot of Thunderbolts.

It’s crazy to imagine how this movie felt like it was trying to be Guardians of The Galaxy only for the actual writer and director of the Guardians movies to write and direct the sequel to this movie. James Gunn was like, “Fine, I’ll do it myself.”

I HATE this version of the Joker. To me it felt like Leto was trying too hard to Joker instead of just getting into character. The Slipknot thing was adapted from the comics (that guy was only maimed though- he only lost an arm because that Waller put explosive bracelets on her Squad instead of head bombs). Katana was underused- she deserved more development. You can't casually reveal she carries a soul sucking sword and leave it at that. Diablo and Croc were interesting, but Harley and Deadshot saved this one.

I love Jenny Nicholsons breakdown of this movies premise. It is kinda wild. WALLER: "We need The Suicide Squad to protect us from evil people with great power." SUIT GUY: "Like who?" WALLER: "Well, like The Enchantress." SUIT GUY: "Who is The Enchantress?" WALLER: "She's a part of The Suicide Squad." SUIT GUY: "What?!"

The first 45 min of this movie is just musical introductions and cut scenes of the villains this could have been trimmed down to 15 min fans are going to know who these people are and non fans will figure it out

There's a lot to hate about this movie. One of the things that annoyed me the most is how much time they spent on Joker, a character with no connection to the Suicide Squad in the comics.

It’s wild how this was the only time there was any sort of interaction with Batman & Joker in the main DC timeline. They also retconned Harley having something to do with the DCEU Robin’s death because she became popular and put the full blame on Joker lol

She was on the money, this has to be literally one of the dumbest versions of Amanda Waller. Taskforce-X was never made to fight Superman level meta-humans, but to do dark/secret ops for the government. The premise doesn’t even make sense in universe since the one meta on the team the maybe could give Superman some problems (since she has magic powers) is Enchantress but Waller didn’t even really have a proper insurance to keep her in check. That and having Batman attack a father in front of a child are such terrible story telling.

I think its because this joker feels more like a gang boss than a actual entity of chaos that would be a challenge for batman. I liked letos performance in the zack snyder JL but not in this movie.

I still think it’s a silly criticism though, his aesthetic felt exactly on par with all the other villains in the movie, we don’t need every iteration of the joker to be the same nobody complains about jack Nicholson. And if he was the chaos king people would’ve just complained that he’s trying to be like heath ledger just like some people did with jaquin phoenix even though jaquin didn’t feel like ledger at all. It’s an automatic lose for anyone who isn’t named heath ledger and they don’t even realize heath ledger wasn’t really an accurate representation of the joker he just played a great version of the character
