Mac Finds His Pride | It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia 13x10 | Group Reaction

Suraj, Spidey, Navi, Pat, and Rana present their review for It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia | Season 13, Episode 10 (Mac Finds His Pride) Written by: Rob McElhenney | Directed by: Todd Biermann - Spoiler Alert - In the heartfelt and surprising Season 13 finale, Mac (Rob McElhenney) struggles with his identity after coming out, trying to explain his sexuality to Frank Reynolds (Danny DeVito) and the rest of the gang. As Paddy’s Pub gears up for the annual pride parade, Mac wrestles with how to express his true self unsure whether to be a participant or a spectator. The episode culminates in a powerful interpretive dance between Mac and a female dancer (Kylie Shea), performed in front of Frank and a group of inmates, a sequence that took months of preparation and became one of the most emotional scenes in the show’s history. “Mac Finds His Pride” closes the season on an unexpectedly sincere note, blending humor, heart, and artistic expression while marking a milestone for the series and its characters. I don't comment often and I'm not the biggest Rana fan but her absolutely getting this episode and it being the BEST always sunny episode of all time will make me a Rana stan for the next year.

Rana:He looks good. Navi: (innocently ) The lighting Rana: Nah, dat body! Also I love how Frank’s first instinct across seasons to Dennis and Mac was an orgy with a buffet.

This show trains its audience to be prepared for any nice or positive moment to be ripped away on a whim for comedic effect. Rob’s dedication to playing Mac needs to be praised more. Getting fat and getting jacked for a sitcom role is insane. This season had a lot of big swings and more misses than hits, but a normal season wouldn’t have a beautiful moment such as Mac’s dance. Excited to keep going with you guys into the last few seasons

So around this season (maybe one earlier) The its always sunny crew wanted to try different shows/paths for their careers. But at the same time when all they had done (for the most part), was its always sunny it was limiting to their range so they decided to get more experimental with their episodes. Mac's dance scene in this is an example both for that reason (show diversity in his acting ability) and because he was raised by two gay women and as a result the gay community he's always felt a kinship to.

Prepare yourself to purchase season 14.. episode 3 is "banned" 😒

One of my favorite eps of tv. I never ever thought an ep of Sunny will be this emotional for me but i was in damn near tears with Franks's reaction and the "I get it" line was a perfect end. Bravo Sunny.
