We Is Us | Pluribus 1x1 | Group Reaction

Pat, Navi, Chris., Marketa, and Spidey present their reaction and review to Pluribus Season 1 Episode 1 (We Is Us) Writer & Director: Vince Gilligan - Spoiler Alert - In the premiere of Pluribus, we meet Carol Sturka (played by Rhea Seehorn), a thoughtful and somewhat cynical novelist who returns to Albuquerque, New Mexico just as a mysterious extraterrestrial message arrives on Earth. Scientists decode a repeating signal from space that ultimately triggers a viral outbreak, transforming most of humanity into an interconnected, joyful collective mind, the “Joining.” Carol stands out as one of the few people untouched by this change and begins grappling with what it means as the world around her becomes a hive mind of shared thoughts and emotions. Her journey to understand the transformation and find answers begins here, setting a tone of mystery, intrigue, and emotional complexity. Navi…The Queen of skipping intros

Gambit3838

Yay now I get to re-watch these episodes for a 3rd time. Lol!! Didn't even know this was starting this week because my home screen on the website still shows 8-14 stuff. Happy surprise. 🤣

A shame it took this long, but I suppose it's better than never.

I have a question for those who have watched. I stopped watching after 3 episodes, it's great, but a bit slow. Does it pick up momentum? If it stays this pace I might wait until the show has more seasons so I can binge it.

My new name (he/him)

I don’t think the first three episodes were slow. I’d say it’s the same momentum as first three episodes but stuff is happening every episode.

#SundayRundown Vince Gilligan is batting a thousand since Breaking Bad. And Rhea Seehorn is on Bryan Cranston's level.

Gambit3838

Damn I've watched this now with 4 reactors and I still have yet to see anyone mention the scientist in the lab being Dopinder from Deadpool. I thought my fellow Normie nerds would mention it. 🤣😭

Gambit3838

The moment I saw and heard him I immediately thought of him saying, "Mr Pool sir" lol

It's wild how many people don't pick up on the planes flying overhead as being the source of the infection.

I'm loving the show, but to be honest I would say that the show has slowed down after the first 3 episodes. Very little can happen in an whole episode, but it can all be to show someone change in emotion/stance towards the situation. It's great story telling, but slow... (probably most similar to Better Call Saul out of anything I can think of).

#SundayRundown Interesting debate in the end discussion about what the planes were doing. I think Chris was right that the planes moving in one direction was evidence of the hive mind at work. Sending infected people to other countries. I don't think it's a chemtrails thing, I don't think RNA would survive in the atmosphere that long.

Shockzz1234

Damn i didn't even realise that till right fucking now lmfao.

The Normies

we are excited to see the rest of it :)

Prodigal Sun

Nice! I guess y'all hear my suggestion (along with countless others I'm sure)

A L

It's absolutely the source of the infection. They could have easily turned it into an aerosol. There's literally no other explanation for why everyone was infected simultaneously.

Dmvic26

I love Pat but can we swap him out with Suraj. After the whole fiasco with Severance, I don't think I'm ready to deal with him on these reactions

Frankie H

That's a good point about everyone becoming infected simultaneously. I didn't consider that.

Worth noting that light years are not a year of our travel, it's the distance light travels in one year, which is a helluva lot of distance.

Sage

Hell no he’s the funniest one on the couch

Whimsical Weirdo

Or the obvious Carol and Helen are together. Being with your manager like that would be creepy.
