The Normies react to Scream 3, directed by Wes Craven and written by Ehren Kruger. Pat, Navi, Chris and Rana give their review of the third installment of this franchise!!! We once again find ourselves falling back into Sidney Prescott's life. Because of the events of the previous two films, she wallows in a self-imposed isolation. A solid parody of Hollywood. By far the weakest Scream movie. Making the killer overpowered made Ghostface feel more Jason or Freddy. The original plan was way better.

Talk to Me is good, its definitely got some good scares in it. Both Smiles are great, I like 2 more than 1 actually and 1 was fantastic.

Finally.....thanks alot for the reaction. In the end, Sydney is the true killer of all these movies. This movie is the end of the trilogy, with the 4th movie they are going for a remake/sequel vibe that Hollywood was into back in the early 2010s.

Back in the day, fans were disappointed because this was supposed to be the last chapter of the franchise and it wasn't as scary as it the other 2. But perhaps that was a blessing because it they had done an amazing third movie, maybe 4, 5, 6 and 7 wouldn't exist today.

A few reasons why the movie isn't as good as the previous ones: - Neve Campbell was only available for 20 days for the shooting so her role had to be reduced. - Kevin Williamson was incredibly busy at the time so he wrote a 20 page draft outline and the script was written by someone else. - The Columbine shootings happened just 2-3 months before starting to shoot the movie. There was already a murder in the US + an attempted murder in the UK inspired by the first two movies so the studio demanded the violence toned down, more comedy, no kids in high school and no Woodsboro (a small town similar to Columbine). Because of all that there were tons of rewrites and reshoots and it shows... still Wes Craven did his best and a storyline that sounded a bit cliché back in the day has become really (and sadly) relevant over the years.

Scream 3 was originally meant to have multiple killers, including Angelina as Roman’s partner! But after the Columbine tragedy, the studio wanted less violence and scrapped that idea. Plus, the script kept leaking, so they rewrote it constantly — which is why Roman ended up being the only killer. Plus, having Roman (Sidney's half brother) and Angelina (playing Sidney) as his love interest/accomplice would have us in murky waters, lol.

I also read sometime back the creators actually regretted killing off Randy! Fans were furious since he was the “voice of the audience,” and even Wes Craven later said it might’ve been a mistake. That’s why they brought him back through that video message.
