Chris, Suraj, Navi and Pat present their review and reaction to season 4 episode 2 of The Sopranos, "No Show," created by David Chase. In episode 2, Tony (James Gandolfini) and Meadow (Jamie-Lynn Sigler) disagree over her returning to school or going to Europe. Tony discovers Janice (Aida Tuturro) has been seeing one of his guys and Adrianna (Drea de Matteo) discovers her new friend is an FBI informant. I get what Pat is saying. It's not the same degree of offense as sneaking around behind somebody's back, but it is still cheating if they didn't discuss it ahead of time. To extend a bit of an olive branch, Ade probably should have said something the moment she started getting in all close and leaning on him and stuff.

Tony letting that family man mask slip and showing his true mobster self to Meadow is one of my favorite scenes.

Meadow’s gripe is more existential than just carmela not leaving and the hypocrisy of the family. She said she was tired of telling people her father works in waste management. She would still need to say that even if carmela leaves tony. It’s more about the fundamental fact that she was born into a mob family and all the inherent issues and extra pain that can come with that. Carmela is the only one who recognizes this and back in season one she confessed to the priest about bringing her kids into a world like this.

The final scene is one of my favorites of the show, not because of what's discussed, but because of the shots themselves. Cutting between close shots of Tony and Carmela, and then the final shot is a wide showing how far apart they actually are. Fantastic filmmaking.

#SundayRundown So Pat was right in that scene in that moment that's what the writers were going for a 3 some. Also if Navi sat between Suraj and Chris and put her arms around them it would be implied. I love watching Navi stress out about Meadows Lazy ass and Pats assertions. Rana did you fart. And that basketball scene with Ralph was better then the one in Catwoman.

I'm going to clear up a the Silvio situation he is Tony's consiglary/adviser that what Tom/ Vito was in the godfather but since the godfather was older Rico wasn't used so the boss often talked to all the Capos/Captain but the only real way to arrest a mob boss is for a captain who gets Direct orders from Tony tide to crimes and Tony gets money for it currently Silvio gets orders from Tony and talks to the other man like the no show conversation Tony left right before so he "don't know what was said" he was mad about Chris getting promoted because it puts Chris in line to be his boss patsy isn't a threat Chris is

You guys are way too sympathetic to Adriana. She may not be part of the Mob but she is directly benefiting from all their activities and on very familiar terms with key members. I can’t recall as of the current episode, but I’m pretty sure she has also covered up some of their crimes as well.

Absolutely, Silvio is a loyal soldier and a real Wise guy; Tony’s indifference to him was stupid. I don’t think Silvio ever would move against him but if he decided to support someone else, Tony would be finished. I’m actually kinda curious about New York’s feelings about him specifically.

Yeah but Tony has said only trust family many times think about it Junior and Tony could've easily snitched on each other in the first season but not only do they not respect snitching they family but pussy was like a brother to Tony still snitched he wasn't family and even when they killed pussy Silvio was more upset than Tony and Tony had food poisoning I don't think Tony ever forgot that Silvio could sympathize with the snitching logic and Paulie not smart enough to hold the # 2 spot Chris is smart enough and Tony trust him more than or at least as much as Silvio he just needs the experience and respect from the man that Tony has but he can't take Tony spot because he don't have the respect of New York and they won't ok taken out Tony it's logical
