Marketa, Chris, Suraj, Spidey and Rana present their review and reaction to One Piece: East Blue Episode 37, "You Dirty Rat!" AKA "Luffy Rises! Result of the Broken Promise!", as well as Episode 38 "War of the Species" AKA "Luffy in Big Trouble! Fishmen vs. the Luffy Pirates!!" ---------------------------------------------------------------- Episode 37 Summary Nezumi seizes Nami's wealth to prevent her from buying back Cocoyasi Village, to which Nami finally asks Luffy for assistance. The crew march to Arlong Park to confront Arlong. & Episode 38 Summary The crew face the Arlong Pirates as the villagers watch from the base entrance. Arlong throws Luffy into the sea, and Zoro and Sanji would be unable to rescue him before defeating their respective opponents. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Acknowledgement One Piece is an original series written by Oda Eiichiro. What's great about Luffy is not just the fact that he beats up horrible people who torment others, it's why he does it. 🌈💜! Plus, within a few days of sailing, he found friends who have the potential to be.... Unbeatable.

no, dont be bullied, yes they should watch one pace but at a certain point the pacing is fine right now , All one pace does it make the anime exactly like the manga and cut out the 10 second reaction shots that toei likes to spam after episode 300, anyone who says no doesnt actually realize what 2 eps of one piece every week actually feels like when you get past a certain point, their used to reactors doing 5-8 eps a week where its manageable

i dont like arguing with people. He probably started one piece in 2020, and does not understand the struggle

i remember seeing the scene of luffy putting his hat on nami on tiktok and it was so good even without knowing the full context and it made me start one piece!

I feel ya! Rana was ALREADY over the pacing in Baratie! Imagine them sitting through 118 episodes of Dressrosa 8 years from now 😭 they will BEG for that one pace cut. But East Blue is also just generally very slow at parts. The villagers have TOO MUCH screentime!

Luffy is as dumb as a sack of bricks, hurts like a sack of bricks, sinks in the water like a sack of bricks, and will stay by your side like a sack of bricks. Conclusion: Luffy is a sack of bricks.

I don’t mind it for the biggest arcs like Alabasta or Skypeia or whatever. I just don’t know how they title it tho going back and forth.

In the live action they changed it for some reason and made it so that Nojiko, Gen and the rest of the villagers didn't know at all about what Nami was doing. Which I thought was a really dumb change lol. To give OPLA credit though, the actual "Luffy...help me!" scene and walk to Arlong Park was done quite well.

#SundayRundown #OnePiece The dub of OP is great, but I didn't know they added in Luffy's line about friendship as he walks away from Nami. That's some "Digimon" s***. Compare the early "Digimon" animes in sub and dub, and you'll see the English crew absolutely FILLED any silent space with yapping. Obviously didn't care as a child, but looking back as an adult, I'm like "Come on, guys! Really? You think American kids will instantly fall asleep if there's not constant talking?" On that note, OPLA definitely did a fine job with this portion of the story, but the "OF COURSE I WILL!!!" moment suffers from a similar problem the dub does. Iñaki doesn't talk about friendship while walking away like the dub anime, but he DOES say "Of course I will." softly, a couple of times while walking away, which still lessens the impact when he finally screams it. Also, I suppose they thought shooting that scene at night made it more dramatic, but I hard disagree. The bad-ass moment when the crew is sitting there as Luffy says "Let's go." is less bad-ass when you can't see them as well. 😛
