The Gap | Pluribus 1x7 | Group Reaction

Pat, Navi, Chris., Marketa, and Spidey present their reaction and review to Pluribus Season 1 Episode 7 (The Gap) Writer: Jenn Carroll Director: Adam Bernstein - Spoiler Alert - In Pluribus Season 1 Episode 7, titled “The Gap,” the story follows two parallel journeys that reveal the emotional and physical distance between those who resist the hive mind and those who have already embraced it. Author Carol Sturka (Rhea Seehorn) remains alone in Albuquerque, trying to cope with her isolation after learning she cannot be forced to join the collective without consent. At first, Carol indulges in her freedom, enjoying small moments of rebellion and creativity, but the solitude soon begins to weigh heavily on her. As time passes, her emotional state shifts between defiance and despair, showing how deeply the absence of human connection affects her sense of purpose and identity. Meanwhile, Manousos Oviedo (Carlos-Manuel Vesga) continues his dangerous journey across Central and South America in an attempt to reach Carol. Determined to remain independent from the hive mind, he travels through harsh terrain and faces serious physical challenges along the way. His journey reflects his determination to preserve individuality, even as the collective world grows stronger around him. #SundayRundown Carol's Day Off was fun. And you thought Carol was stubborn. Manousos is the all-time heavyweight champion of hard-headed motherfuckers. He'd rather die than take help from the hive mind. 15:35 was a classic Normies reaction.

Manousos has the drive & determination of a flagellant. Maybe the hivemind should have left dog food out for him?

Man, I would be asking so many questions. Who is on the Epstein list, have we discovered aliens, JFK, the Moon landing, etc? All the conspiracies. Who were the worst humans when they had agency? Have them all doing the most labor-intensive jobs. I know they are no longer alive to experience it, but F it.

2:30 When Carol walked back into the gas station to order another Gatorade because hers wasn’t cold enough, the radio was playing Tarzan Boy by Baltimora, but I guess everyone on the couch is only semi familiar with AEW, so I was doing the Jungle Boy “arms above your head back & forth” dance all alone🤷🏾‍♂️ Oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh!! Freaking love that song

#SundayRundown I think Chris actually mentioned the Darien Gap in the episode they introduced Paraguay Guy. I remember that because I was like, "Holy crap Chris accidentally predicted Manousos crossing the Darien Gap in episode 3 or 4!" That was before we even knew Manousos's name. Excellent geography knowledge Chris. Also is anyone else bummed that we can't drive from North America to South America because of the Darien Gap? I would never actually do that, but it would be nice to have the option of doing that.

I’d definitely do something similar. Even if it’s unlikely to ever go back even if I never bothered to read it, I’d ask them to make an unbiased record of recent history, with specific note secretly involved in corruption and major crimes.
