Toguro's fate is way worse than the dub leads on. He actually chooses to go to the lowest level of Hell, where he'll experience what Koenma describes in the dub 10,000 times, meaning 100 million years. After that, his soul will be destroyed and he'll cease to exist. And keep in mind... that was actually his goal all along.

19:05 Hiei with that various crimes line is always a classic. Too bad they missed it. It’s all good though

Toguro and Genkai kinda using this dark tournament as a means to train yusuke is wild as fuck lmaooo

Javi

I also think that Toguro deep down does see betraying Genkai as his ultimate sin and that's why he keeps seeking infinite punishment knowing that he can't go back to how they were

Kiren had them fools spinning

Solebat

Got damn, Koenma might not even be around for the whole thing.

#sunday rundown Ok now I can point out the Toguro actually looks very similar to Gon in Buff form. Toguro gave up his humanity to gain strength. He chose to become a demon. I think togashi further develops this idea as the basis for Gon's character and eventual transformation to buff Gon. Lastly, Genkais return has always been controversial. Should she have stayed dead? Usually you kill the mentor character to shift the burden to student and make the stakes real by removing the safety net. YYH does do that. But since Genkai's power is now with Yusuke, she isn't a safety net anymore, so her coming back doesn't really undercut Yusuke's growth. But she's still around as a mentor. Very similar to how My Hero Aca keeps almight around even after his power is used up.

This was a nice saga ending episode, great in animation and in storytelling. Also, should we add 💜Records Girl💜 to the cute list with Botan, Koto, and Miyuki? 💖💖💖

If an episode looks vastly different it's usually because the animation director was Atsushi Wakabayashi, who was also over episodes like the one where Hiei defeated Bui and that one Naruto vs Pain episode. Additionally, starting this episode, there's a new art director, Shigenori Takada, who was also the art director for all of Naruto.

I think Limbo is Hell. I think it may be just a censorship thing.

So Toguro did kinda teach Yusuke in his own way. He taught him the power of the fear of loss and of loss. The whole time during his fight with Yusuke he was about that. Yusuke's lack of fear and loss. the whole arch and last arch were kinda about Yusuke Putting his all into something to protect someone which is something he struggles a lot at doing.

God. I can't fuckin' wait til next Wednesday!

#SundayRundown #YuYuHakusho RANA: I'm gonna' kill your mom. *CONFETTI!!!!!! * 😂 (Not gonna' give context for that. You're just gonna' have to try and remember what happened.) --- How many times have I watched this show, and I STILL forgot about Kairen killing Toguro's students! I also forgot that Toguro planned for Genkai's revival, telling Koenma to keep her body fresh. I misremembered it as Koenma deciding to just bring her back on a whim. 😛 I also forgot about this random "BLEACH" extra showing up - 5:28. (Seriously. Tell me Records Girl doesn't belong in the Seireitei.) About the only things I remembered were Toguro and Genkai's conversation on his way to deepest Hell, and - for some reason - the animation of Genkai's mouth when she tells Yusuke that her death was "half-assed". 😆

GoldArthur

His only way to atone to her was to completely oppose her in every way, holding nothing back, and then be defeated and held responsible. That way, he completely vindicated her in every way.

#SundayRundown You can tell Yusuke mood by looking at Pu

When you really think about it, this show only showed Toguro killing demons, evil humans and Genkai, but the Genkai death had a purpose in his plan. So we really don't see him being this truly evil villain, but you don't realize it until this episode. Now there were plenty of demons that he killed that didn't deserve so he's definitely guilty of that. Just a very complex and deep antagonist.
