#SundayRundown Great start!! Loved the reaction and discussion!! The best is yet to come!!John Corben (the mercenary Lex hired to steal the robot suit) does become quite the recurring foe to Superman. He goes through quite a transformation!!

#sundayrundown DCAU Lex isn’t black, his look is/was based on Greek actor Telly Savalas (you can clearly see it if you’ve ever seen him). The man would’ve made an amazing live-action Luthor back in the day. This is probably THE definitive version of Lex and right next to Hamill’ Joker. He’s ridiculously smart, ruthless but still charming and fun to watch. Also starts as the tech mogul John Byrne imagined in the 80’s and by the start of JL becomes a mad scientist like in his early comic days (there’s another profession he takes up but that would be a major spoiler).

#SundayRundown Bibbo Bibbowski is one of my favorite supporting Superman characters. This version voiced by Brad Garrett (Everybody Loves Raymond) is a lot of fun. I was hoping Michael Rooker would play him in the last James Gunn version. It would be nice to see him play a character that doesn't get killed for once since James has already done that to him in six of his other projects.

#SundayRundown Corey Burton's voice as Braniac is basically an impression of HAL-9000, the murderous AI from 2001: A Space Odyssey. I'm not mad at it though because it's pretty much the perfect voice to use.

#SundayRundown Such a fantastic job here in these first three episodes telling the origin, showing him growing up, his arrival in Metropolis & introducing all the regular characters. They cover a tremendous amount of ground in 60 minutes. No skimping on the action either as the Superman-Mecha fight is pretty choice.

#SundayRundown Bibbo is voiced by Brad Garrett the brother from Everybody Loves Raymond. Bibbo basically has a tough guy exterior but he's a really nice and charitable guy deep down. In the comics he tries to follow superman's example and help people. He's one of superman's biggest fans. In Young Justice Bibbo ran the diner that the superheroes often hung out at. Speaking of Soder, some of the vending machines and soda bottles actually say "Soder" instead of "Soda" in the show. Keep an eye out for that.

I'm 57- if you insist on dropping one episode at a time from this list and then do the same with the two Justice League series, you'll all be my age and we still won't have reached Justice League Unlimited :-)

Yeah, i'm kinda regretting not putting more Corben related episodes into the "need to watch" bit of the list that I typed out now tbh, even if it was just episode 7 "The Way of All Flesh" I feel like I should have included in retrospect just to introduce them to "Corben" properly, but we were already pushing it with us even getting this pre JL setup in the first place lol so I didn't wanna ask for more, even just one episode, and he's not super duper relevant in JL/U, so hopefully it's not too big a deal. But ah well, when streamlining sometimes you have to lose some good things :(

Yeah I started a DCAU re-watch. It had been a long time since I've seen everything. I watched "Action Figures" recently. It's a really interesting episode & the ending is fantastic. In a perfect world they'd see all of it instead of just the "essentials". I'm grateful though for what we're getting. Thanks again for your efforts & thanks Normies for listening to us.
