Ffs can Suraj stop missing great episodes? Spidey I'm letting off the hook a bit but it's always Suraj missing big episodes.

Appreciate the three of you being on the couch and I get life happens, hope everything is ok with Suraj and Spidey, but how do you always have half the couch or more missing for the best or close to the best episodes of a series? Like it would've been better if they were gone last week instead. 😂 Still luv you all though.

#SundayRundown #Invincible. Crazy we got Spidey and Suraj for the "filler" episode but not one of the best in the series. I'm not mad, it's actually really funny 😂 I LOVE what they do with Debbie in the show, such a massive improvement over her comic version, she basically forgives Nolan immediately and does not show up much for the rest of the series except for "comedic bits" Sandra Oh did an amazing job voicing her anguish, also in the Comics Tech Jacket is a dude from another one of Robert Kirkman works, I read some and he's alright, not super interesting, except he cheats on his girlfriend 😅, so I'm hoping this change can actually make the character more enjoyable and be a fun addition to the cast, much like how Debbie has been.

Chris's comment about Eve saying "save the universe" and his response being "just a galaxy" got me. They don't do a good job showing this but the Viltrumites are from the Milk Way, BUT they control multiple galaxies (they just never touched Earth yet)! Talescria is in the Milkway too, but Thraxa (Oliver's homeworld) is in a whole nother galaxy. They changed it from the comics, where Viltrumites were from the Milkway while the other planets were in different galaxies, to define how wise spread the empire is.

Reminder that Tech Jacket was one of the only heroes that killed an Invincible solo during the Invincible War. She can hold her own at the very least one Viltrumite. P.S. Yes Viltrumites do need air to breath and no they cannot breathe in space they take deep breaths before traveling in space and can hold their breath for a good long while before needing to take another breath. That’s why Nolan told Oliver to go to the planet so he could breathe, and knowing this what do you think happened to Conquest when Mark choked him out

Man those Viltrumite "Smart Atoms" are about to work overtime to heal Mark and add a little bit more to his strength and endurance. They are definitely on a father-son camping trip now.😂 Also I've read the comics multiple times, I've never once felt the level of squeamishness reading this issue compared to watching it, Ryan Ottley is a fantastic artist (one of the best imo) but man, this fight is gross on paper but the screams and squelching and other sounds makes this so much worse, they did such a fantastic job with it. This entire episode is just so fantastic, it's definitely in my top 3!

This episode gives a whole new meaning to rearranging them guts ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) In all seriousness, this episode was fantastic. Loved how the confrontation between Nolan and Debbie was as impactful as the fight between Mark and Conquest. Both delivered those……..gut punches (heh 😏). Mark had no qualms with killing now. Although I wish he learned the value of a rear naked choke. Would have saved his intestines 😂 As hard-hitting as the Nolan/Debbie scene was, I think his scene with Art hit me even more. Art’s slight panic attack gasp perfectly showed that Nolan is no longer the subject of his own story. He’s an object of fear and disgust in everyone else’s. Like having a casual conversation with a sapient nuke. Especially when combined with how relieved the GDA was when Nolan left. This was a visceral (heh 😏) episode and a marked (heh 😏) improvement over last week’s. Can’t wait to see where the rest of the season goes. Hopefully it continues this gutsy (heh 😏) approach.

Honestly I think y'all are really underestimating everyone. Yeah it was tough but the fight didn't seem insurmountable like say the fight on Thraxa back in S2, or when Anissa showed up. The fight actually felt like a fight against an incredibly powerful foe and not like a slaughter. Lucan, the guy who whooped Mark's ass back on Thraxa, was actually pushed aside quite easily by Mark. And now Conquest is dead. That's going to be quite the morale changer. Mark just strangled the life out of one of the most powerful and infamous viltrumites around despite having his guts ripped out.

Techjacket was recruited because the tech is one of the things known to kill viltrumites. Also we saw her kill one of the evil marks solo so she can kill viltrumites.

#SundayRundown I feel like Debbie's reaction to Nolan's apology works so well. When Nolan apologized to the various aliens, he was able to be forgiven because it wasn't 'them' who he hurt. That was generations ago when Nolan visited them and scared them. They are just descendants, so forgiveness worked. Debbie tho? Debbie lost her friends, had her life turned upside down, and nearly took her own life. She was still picking up the pieces and trying to make something new when Nolan appears and apologized. She's still reeling. We've seen Nolan change, but all she can see is the monster who took away her happy life. Props to Sandra Oh for that performance, that guttural cry was perfect.

Chris, they do need to breath, did you miss the part where Oliver needed to go down to the planet for a breath after the wind was knocked out of him? Viltrumites need to breathe, they can just go a week or 2 on a single deep breath, mark knocked the air out of him then choked him so he couldn't get any more in

Yes. This is why Mark says “you’re never breathing again.” Unfortunately, the show cut out the moment way back when when Nolan expressly says that he can can hold his breath for two weeks, so Mark should be able to do it for about an hour after first getting his powers. Viltrumites can hold their breath for weeks, but they still need to breathe eventually.

Yes. In the comic, Nolan expressly says he can hold his breath for two weeks, so Mark should be able to do it for about an hour. They cut that out.

It's so funny to see bcuz, whenever we see him apologizing to other species in outer space, they get shocked and immediately accept him bcuz the concept of a viltrumite apologizing is enough for them to be convinced and Nolan with his new found confidence in apologies believes that this how it works, not realizing that the other species accept it bcuz a viltrumite is apologizing, not bcuz nolan is. Then the earthling who don't really know a lot ab viltrumites, so they treats Nolan like any other person and immediately dissects all of Nolans apologies and starts dissecting him.

#sundayrundown so this is kind of important, I know that Chris keeps saying ‘we’ve seen the future’ but keep in mind that as soon as mark came back, that future changed. The same way it did when future Eve came back and told mark she loved him. So that’s not exactly a golden ticket.
