#SundayRundown the intervention scene is one of my favorite scenes in the show, lol. Comedy mixed with utter dread and drama. Cast members have shared that the scene was improvised for quite a significant chunk. Michael Emporioli (Christopher’s actor) said that James Gandolfini (Tony) was really intimidating physically in these scenes, which was a testament to how an amazing actor the dude was, man. Such a shame he isn’t around. Arguably my favorite actor ever. What a phenom.

the dog comment apparently struck a bit of a nerve. it wasn't a big deal, just pointing out how part of the show started out since it was a while back. another animal related thing is again, the interplay between tony, ralphie, the horse and the stripper. subconscious is a huge part of the show and it likes interlaying it with therapy talk and tony's dismissal of things around him. just like how the ducks were pointed out as a source of tony's dread but the show gives different ways tony can destroy his family as opposed to being too singular about it.

To quote my dude Chris Ostreicher from American Pie, when it comes to women...."All ya gotta do is let em talk....and listen to what they have to say and shit!"

#SundayRundown I love how invested you are in the Furio-Carmella storyline. I think it's so well done. There was a fair amount of time building it up before either character actually acknowledged it themselves. I do feel bad for Carmella as a character even though she's complacent about her lifestyle being funded by crime. The therapist in 3X7 told her what she needed to to as plainly as possible: take clothes on your back, your children & go. Between religion, a cultural understanding of family/marriage mean & frankly loving luxury it just feels like the idea of leaving Tony isn't something she can fully come to terms with.

"She must've crawled under there for warmth" LMAO!

# Sunday rundown just a heads up Chris at that time of the intervention was sober enough to know if he said anything about Tony killing Ralphie or something a long that line he would be died because that exactly his worry Also I'm glad Chris understood what Tony was saying with Patsy being close by

“The way you eat you’ll have a heart attack by 50” such an eerie and sad quote when you realize James Gandolfini died of a heart attack at 51, RIP to mine and many’s favortie actor

#SundayRundown The ending with the parallels between Furio & Tony is a nice bit of storytelling. Furio carefully preparing a meal for himself by hand while Tony scarfs down food nuked in the microwave made by Carmella. Also enjoy Tony chastising Furio earlier in the episode for crying about his father (really Carmella). Followed by the smash cut to Tony crying in therapy over his horse

#SundayRundown Over the years the intervention has become a frequently used comedic device even in dramas. This episode is one of the earliest examples that & still probably the best. There's so many frequently quoted lines here in such a brief span of time: "You're weak. You're outta control. And you've become an embarrassment to yourself and everybody else" & "I said my peace, Chrissy" just to name a few. Probably a top 5 scene in the entire run of the show.

#SundayRundown I forgot how many classic lines/memes came from this one particular episode. Lowkey hilarious episode. "She mustve crawled under there for warmth" Tony: You killed little Corsette? Paulie: Why, was she barkin'? On the darker side however..... Janice in Season 2 Episode 12 to Tony: "Take it easy...you're gonna have heart attack by the time you're 50" Chris to Tony in this episode: "I'm killing myself? The way you fucking eat you're gonna have a heart attack by the time you're 50" James Gandolfini died of a heart attck at age 51.......

This episode is so iconic it has so many memes and memorable quotes

Man you guys really love cheating storylines

LucasHolliday

#SundayRundown a quintessential episode. Between the intervention, RIP Cosette, the infidelity of Tony this time with Svetlana, the parallels of Tony the cheating codependent vs. Furio the loyal self made man...and that goddamn Pie O My General Tony painting. It's one of my favorites of all time. One popular phrase from this one is yet another Paulie line "Watch it Chrissy 🤟" Tell Marketa she should use that one on Chris whenever they argue. Don't forget the spiderman point either LOL

#SundayRundown Ralph was made in the DiMeo Family of North Jersey, and then ran his own crew -- formerly the Aprile Crew under Richie, then Jackie Sr when Rich got locked up, and then Rich again after Jackie died -- as a caporegime for Tony Soprano, who is now acting boss of Ercole DiMeo's outfit in everything but name, the only thing which Junior has is the title. Carmine Lupertazzi's family out of New York is a separate gang with no official power over the Sopranos just shared business, and so far the only NY members you've seen are Carmine himself, his underboss Johnny Sack, and Johnny's driver/soldier/protégé Joey Peeps. Ralphie wanted to switch families during the whole Traci Bada Bing fiasco because Carmine is boss of one of the big Five Families of New York and because at the time he was good friends with John so he figured he could advance further under Carmine since Tony hated him. Nobody is on loan from New York to New Jersey or vice versa, the only one on loan to Tony from anywhere else is Furio. Being made means you are an official part of a family. You are under the protection of the boss of that family. So if the boss beats you to death one day at your house, technically the other members of this family have a legitimate beef if they find out, since you and they are supposed to be untouchable unless real betrayal was committed.
