Head for the Grand Line!" , as well as Episode 61 "Fantastic Voyage" AKA "An Angry Showdown! Cross the Red Line!" ---------------------------------------------------------------- Episode 53 Summary Smoker confronts Luffy at the historic execution platform, who escapes his pursuit. With Tashigi's help, Zoro receives the Sandai Kitetsu and Yubashiri to replace the two swords destroyed by Mihawk. & Episode 52 Summary Zoro and Sanji show up too late to stop Buggy but a bolt of lightning shows up just in time to stop the execution and help Luffy avoid being killed. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Acknowledgement One Piece is an original series written by Oda Eiichiro. #SundayRundown - Congratulations y’all, you’ve made it to the end of the East Blue Saga and are now 5% of the way through the anime . For alot of people, this is their stepping off point because they don’t want to continue the journey after the Loguetown Arc. I understand why, this show is a commitment, but the journey wouldn’t be fun if it was easy. Onwards, into the Arabasta Saga!

That's the issue with spoilers, it's piecemeal knowledge. The marine ship tech is new tech and not well known. That being said, taking a marine ship is a proper plan but as mentioned, our crew of 5 couldn't pilot a ship that large.

Smoker isn't using a sword, its a "jitte." A fuedal weapon designed to catch a blade and break it by twisting it between the two spokes.

The filler had some anime exclusive Devil Fruits The little girl Apis ate the Whisper Whisper Fruit which lets her talk to animals And the villain Erik ate the Sickle Sickle Fruit which lets him produce wind scythes with his fingers. (Like Danzo’s “WEEN SCHTYLE”) There was a running gaag with Erik’s fruit where the Straw Hats confused its name with something else. Japanese calls it Kama Kama No Mi which made them think of Okama which means gay man/transvestite. In English Dub they call him the SICKO since his fruit is called Sickle Sickle Fruit.

It's absolutely not pronounced Roguetown. Viz changing the spelling of names in the manga translations is not something new. The whole point of it being "The Town of Beginnings and Ends" is because of prologue/epilogue, it was where Roger was born and died after all

My take on One Pace is that it's not worth it. I can support them cutting filler, repeated shots, especially stretched ones, recaps, panning, and character reaction shots. I can also accept cutting the padding and transitional shots here and there. All of this is the purpose of One Pace and it helps some for REwatching. But when the directors and animators went through the trouble of adding some flare to certain scenes leading to some sick sakuga, I don't give a tanuki's tail if it wasn't in the manga, cutting it is insulting and not necessary. Furthermore, when the editing is so rough that the flow is damaged, it's harmful to the viewer's enjoyment. For a first time watch, especially for reactors, the point is to gain as much as possible. One Piece is more than a story, it's visual art, and the anime is independently adapting it and is not obligated to be 1 to 1. I own and have read the entire physical manga but I've also watched the anime dozens of times in entirety over the last 11 years and have never needed or enjoyed One Pace.

#SundayRundown #OnePiece When I first watched, I went through the "Grandpa Ryu" episodes without knowing they're filler. That's how good they are; which is to say, not bad. It's actually a really fun little story. I wish I could find a clip of Eric using his Sickle-Sickle fruit, 'cause the way the voice-actor goes "sh-sh-sh-sh" with his mouth, every time he uses the power, is actually really satisfying. 😆 As Adam Guzman says below, in Japanese, they make a gay joke about the name of his fruit. One Pace is only good for that Return to Sabaody - Dressrosa era imo. The anime during that period is DOGSHIT imo, I wouldn't mind if they used One Pace for those arcs only. But only those ones. Or watch the remastered FI arc that Toei did as well. There was a recent One Pace controversy on twitter recently because they cut out very good scenes from ep 1015. They rightfully got critiqued for it. And they do that a lot. So overall I agree it's not worth it...buttt maybe from that specific period I said, it's something they can look into (but we're ages from that lol).

This was a nice milestone to reach. Awesome, you guys! Sometimes the fillers are fun for character interactions and voice work, and I get there's crazy things to explain in the OP world, lol. Hope you guys check out the first two OP movies: worth seeing for the emotions, art, and brutality.

I only know this by playing way too much Total War Shogun 2. The "jitte" was a common off hand weapon "metsuke" (feudal police) would often use in their district. In the One Piece fuedal filler arc Luffy is a metsuke with a jitte. A little odd imo considers Oda said Zoro would be the cop in another life but maybe Tori made that decision.

#SundayRundown technically would it be smart to take a navy ship? Yes but you may get unlucky and find a ship where someone like smoker or someone much much stronger is in charge of that ship, in one piece your often to run into navy ships with marines that are on your level or stronger because the deeper you go into the grandline the more powerful the navy crews are, also partially the fun of being a pirate in this verse is your making a name for yourself, your crew, your jolly roger and your ship, Also you could just go through the calm belt and row it manually but , theres probably only 20 or so crews in the world of one piece strong enough to do that on a consistent basis without their ship getting destroyed by seakings

The navy ship tech is a spoiler, we don't find out about that until several arcs from now. Not sure what the live action showed but in the manga it is found out WAY later.

#SundayRundown Now that you guys have cracked the seal on the Grandline Bottle I once again highly recommend y'all increase the episode count cuz at this rate y'all won't get to even the halfway point before 2030 so its just A friendly suggestion but maybe try doing 6 episodes A week soon if not then maybe just 3 - 4 episodes A week in the coming months just to help y'all speed things along

Not exactly, it's more that they use a lot of the same characters in Japanese to translate them. But in this case the sign at the front of town is literally spelled "Loguetown," so it's an L. Or are you saying that every time we see an L or R on a sign/building, that we're supposed to debate which spelling to use?
