I’m wondering if the series is building up to Homelander killing Soldier Boy. A big part of the series turns on the parallel between Butcher and Homelander. Butcher was raised by his father and hates him while fully understanding that he is what he is because of his father. Kills him. Homelander was not raised by his father, yet craves the love and affection from one. He ends up killing him because Soldier Boy is one of the only things that can kill him. I was thinking originally that they would parallel the opposite in that Butcher kills his father while Homelander does not. But now I think they could both end the season with patricide. Except Homelander will be emotional about it whereas Butcher was ice cold.

I think Homelander does kill Soilder Boy but in the process SB is going to de-power Homelander, I forget if it was The Normies or someone else but it's already been alluded to in Ep 1. that Homelander is nothing without his powers and that would be the worst punishment for him. Butcher is still going to die but he's definitely going to have a redemption/emotional final moment, probably saving Hughie life.

The virus would still kill Homelander because Soldier Boy - they've mentioned - is V1. Like Stormfront, he doesn't age or die. I guess the only way to take out a V1 is to do yourself in A La Stormfront.

Yes Normies please do some skits for the last season! The visuals of Homelander and Soldier Boy really make it hard not to ship them, wish incest wasn't in the way. Thank God Homelander/Butcher aren't related so I can still ship them. 😈

Oh yeah. I can see what you’re saying. Homelander losing his powers is a common theory. It was mentioned by Reggie and the conversation with Soldier Boy. There’s a shot with Homelander slowly beating someone so I wonder if that’s him beating Soldier Boy. Butcher shouldn’t get a redemptive moment in my opinion. It goes much too much against his character. He can have moments of quiet redemption, but largely he needs to stay a piece of shit. The entire point of his character is the loss of his humanity as he’s consumed with vengeance. Consumed with toxic masculinity. He shouldn’t get a happyish ending. At best it has to be tragically happy, but mostly tragic.

You’re acting like incest is a barrier 😂 It’s not like Jensen Ackles is used to one of his characters being shipped despite the incest. Wincest was, and is, a thing. Supernatural even poked fun at that ship 🤣

Terror the Bulldog was in past seasons. He was owned by Billy and Becca before Becca was taken by Vought. Then Terror was taken care of by Billy’s aunt until he came to get him in S2. He appears alot in the comics but Eric Kripke says the reason they kept his appearances minimal is that working with dogs on set is difficult, especially on a show this wild.
