Such masters of their art, you can tell they are classically trained in the ring by their dad. When you look at it they aren't actually doing a lot but every move feels like something crazy because they mastered throwing punches, body slams, reversals, bumping and selling. This is a style you had to wrestle if you where going to be on the road wrestling 6 days a week. Now adays you can go 100 moves a match (which i love), but your body wouldnt hold up if the today guys had the schedule of the guys in the early days

I forgot how much sh*t Jerry Lawler talks about Helen Hart LOL, great match, great reaction 👌 , MORE from this era please, they gotta see Macho Man, Warrior, Hulk etc in their prime

THE KING OF HARTS!!!!! RIP OWEN HART!

A welcome surprise! Mostly because I thought we weren't getting a wrestling vid this weekend due to Mania lol. But yes, superb match, technically one of the best I've ever seen. About time we're getting some Hart stuff! Also iirc Mania X is where the first ever Ladder match took place too, between Razor Ramon and HBK....definitely also a match worth checking out imo!

If you want to know more about Bret Hart & his story, WWE did a documentary on him a few years ago https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4AYQv_AXQqY Definitely a wrestling legend of the late 80's & '90s. He's had legendary feuds with Shawn Michaels, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Undertaker, Yokozuna & Sycho Sid. Owen was a phenomenal wrestler too just like his brother Bret, but Owen tragically died live on Pay-Per-View on May 23, 1999, in a wrestling stunt gone horribly wrong. Owen was universally loved by not only everyone in the wrestling business but basically everyone he's ever come in contact with. There's a Dark Side of the Ring episode on Owen Hart which I think y'all should watch that tells that whole story https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bPU8NB6xIaM BTW, Bret & Owen's niece Natalya/Nattie wrestles for WWE. Y'all have seen her in y'all Women's Royal Rumble reactions.

The girls were impressed with the referee doing things because they never get to watch normal matches with rules being enforced. Of course, it also matters that it was Earl Hebner, one of the best ever.

Great reaction ladies this one of my favorite matches. This was back when wrestling actually cared about story plus in ring work and true character who either loved or hated the wrestlers and yes refs had a job bc wrestling had rules. Rules are needed bc it helps the story bc it's makes better heels. If the refs don't enforce the rules it doesn't matter or get you mad when the heel cheats the babyface.

Highly recommend AEW Wrestledream 2023: Bryan Danielson vs Zack Saber Jr. A kind of match so different from what is usually here

anyone having no sound on their website? Being buggy for me rn

It's also referees like Rick Knox who stand around with their hands on their heads while wrestlers are attempting murder in standard matches. They used to relax rules in big PPV championship main events or when a feud was personal, but they had actual heels who had to bend and break rules behind the official's back to get heat, and today, only a select few know how to get the fans to hate them, so they don't even bother. Charles Robinson is the last of a dying breed - what a legend.

I juat got around to watching yalls reaction on this. Bret and Owen are two of the best to ever do it. I will make one note if you havent already learned: When Bret tapped earlier, at that point in time with wrestling, tapping out wasnt seen as a way of giving up. It wasn't until UFC was getting really popular. Interestingly enough, it started more in ECW with the wrestler Taz who had like a UFC style gimmick where he would want his opponents to submit to him by tapping. And then more wrestling companies started following suit.
