A really fun match. Mick Foley is a legend (and a truly lovely human being) and you haven't seen anything yet considering other matches he had. Btw, the 3 "faces" of Mick Foley are; Mankind (mask), Cactus Jack (Wanted Dead or Alive), & Dude Love (Hippy) Cactus Jack was his persona pre-WWE, and he started getting known for hardcore matches. Mankind was his initial WWE persona, where he was like a masked asylum inmate. Eventually in WWE he 'brought in' Cactus Jack to help him get through particularly tough matches/feuds. Dude Love was a sillier, hippy character, based on the original gimmick that Foley envisioned using during his career. By the end though he'd just use any as and when in suited - and he would also often just be Mick Foley, with the 3 gimmicks effectively seen as personalities that he had.

I vote no more hardcore matches for a while and more storyline/ drama driven segments. The fact we are watching this over Danhausen, Joe HENDRY, boooooooo. I’d rather watch the gals react to The Rock on the mic or more fun stuff that just escalating brutal spots. At some point, you can just watch Botchamania if you want to see bad things lol

#SundayRundown The near calamities and actual disasters in the careers of both Mick Foley and Edge make it almost miraculous that they can still walk. I met the Micker after his show (I had the hook-up), and he was wearing one of his Santa Claus shirts. Foley is so wholesome (he only drops one "F" bomb per show), but he had his dark side, and he got that shit out in (and around) the ring instead of taking it out on his family and civilians (I'm sure he also has a therapist). His hardcore matches feel like self-harm, in retrospect. I also vote for more storytelling matches and months-or years-long angles condensed into half-hour or so installments—The Streak, Bloodline, Mega Powers, Rhodes Brothers etc.

14:40 Yeah, Mick Foley has 3 main alter egos. Mankind is the one with the mask from the 1990s, Cactus Jack is the black and yellow shirt, and Dude Luv is the tie-dye colored shirt. We saw an appearance from the sock because this match is technically a Mick Foley match (So I guess he could borrow it since he is the creator lol). Mick Foley is one of my favorites because he's put on almost every great star from the late 90s-early 2000s lol.

Just a heads up, for the most part you’re only safe if you see the name Dude Love. His other 3 personalities don’t believe in rules or limits🤷🏾‍♂️🤣😂 As much as I love these matches because they happen rarely in the WWE now, I don’t really suggest them due to you 3 just not being from this generation of wrestling. This is a hard style of wrestling to explain to full-grown adults that are new to this life in general. You had to be there to realize what made Edge & Lita so hated, which they both used that heat to become the most disrespectful heels at the time. Foley choosing this match makes a ton of sense in 2006 where the story was, but explaining that now is practically impossible even with the 3 minute promo vid before the match starts & I get that. That’s just not enough to do it justice to what this meant at the time. That’s why most of the fans were cheering. For the most part, we can tell when it’s part of the show or something has gone bad. 20 years ago WAS A WHOLE VIBE!!!🫡
