Shout out Queen Shelby! Also, I'l settle the debate! My username is just Shockzz, as in "shocks"...not ShockzZEE =P I'm British, we don't say Zee! (Except for DBZ, that's the only exception, which is funny because in the og Japanese it is actually basically pronounced Dragon Ball Zed, or rather Zetto but same thing really, but oh well lmao...damn you American English dub, you got us on this one!). NORMIES. JUST TAKE A PICTURE. TO LONG TO COVER ON SUNDAYRUNDOWN. CONTEXT FOR OLD REPUBLIC CINEMATIC TRAILERS. I saw your response about babying you guys a little bit with the Old Republic before watching the trailers. I will gladly give you guys context. First, while the Old Republic did happen in the canon, it has not been really explained. These trailers take place in the Expanded Universe timeline where the Old Republic was actually fleshed out. Though quite a number of the events are still considered canon, even though they have not been properly explained. The High Republic and The Acolyte did not happen in the EU. So here is your history lesson. The Old Republic era takes place from 25,053 BBY (the founding of the Republic), until 1000 BBY. For the sake of time the really important stuff to know about starts roughly about 5000 BBY, when Hyperspace traveling was still relatively new to the Galaxy. At this time, the Unification Wars were happening in which the Koros system was trying to unite the seven worlds located in the system. During this time, young Hyperspace explorers and siblings, Gav and Jori, attempt to create a new route, which lands them on Korriban, the ancient homeworld of the Sith. They are found by the Sith armies, who were holding a funeral for Marka Ragnos, the former Dark Lord of the Sith. There is a fight between Sith, Naga Sadow and Ludo Kressh, about who should be the new Dark Lord. Naga Sadow uses the siblings arrival as an excuse to Expand the Sith Empire, which leads to the Great Hyperspace War. After the fall of Naga Sadow, the Republic has some relative peace until 3998 BBY - 3997 BBY, in which Jedi Knight, Exar Kun, falls to the Dark Side, finds the remains of Sadow's army on Yavin IV, and creates a new Sith Empire. Exar Kun is also the Jedi/Sith who created the double bladed lightsaber. This conflict is called the Sith War and lasts about a year. By 3996 BBY, Exar Kun is defeated. These are all covered in comics by Tom Veitch and Kevin J. Anderson. By the time of 3964 BBY - 3963 BBY, that is where to prequel comic to the Knights of the Old Republic video game by John Jackson Miller comes in. The comic focuses on the Mandalorian Wars, in which the Mandalorians invade the Republic. The Jedi are hesitant on joining the war, which leads to Jedi Knight, Revan, and his apprentice, Malak, creating their own army to fight off the Mandalorians. The duo succeed in ending the Mandalorian Wars, but Revan and Malak take their army and disappear into the Unknown Regions. It is by 3959, they returned, with an entire Sith Armada. Revan, now the Dark Lord of the Sith, and Malak, his Sith Apprentice. They launched an entire invasion on the Republic, creating the Jedi Civil War, in which they nearly crushed the Republic and the Jedi to their knees. By 3956 BBY, the war was over, the Sith defeated. By 3951 BBY, the Sith return, led by Darth Nihilus, and almost completely wipe out the Jedi, similar to Order 66. This is covered in Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords video game. If you want to know the stories in depth, play the games. So, this is where the Old Republic cinematic trailers lead into. They were promotional trailers for Star Wars: The Old Republic (2011) video game. I don't know what percentage of the "One Piece" fandom at large regularly disrespects Usopp like that...but ONLINE, it certainly seems like a lot of people feel that way about him; which is sad. Finding him annoying, and not liking him because of that is valid, but saying he's a nothing character for half the series is 1- objectively false, and 2- disrespectful of Oda. Also, I completely forgot that dub Mr. 5 calls Karoo a "quacker". That's hilarious. I searched for that isolated clip as well, but couldn't find it. ☹️
