They should least do the first 2 episodes of Batman beyond least for context but yess they doing the movie ! XD & Scott Melville was Robin from Teen titans

Frankie H

Shockzz1234's list that they're following had a couple batman beyond episodes on it including the first 2 episodes. The list is in the comments of the Sunday Rundown 1.25.26 if you want to see it. I assumed that was still the plan but I guess plans can change.

Denickart

The writers had to give Supergirl a new origin here because, following Crisis on Infinite Earths where Kara was killed off for 20 years, DC wanted Superman to remain the only survivor of Krypton. They also gave her a new costume which would later be used by the Supergirl of the time, Linda Danvers.

The Normies

Did they have a reason for wanting Superman to be the only survivor of Krypton?

Denickart

Basically because they wanted him to be unique again and thought his story was losing its impact from how many Krypton survivors were popping up(Kara, Krypto, all the criminals in the Phantom Zone, an entire city Braniac had bottled up, etc)

Sayon

Does anyone know when they will be watching justice league

Kickinthescience

It’s funny they said Supergirl looks the same as every female character and then here comes Granny Goodness and her furies

SpeedyCat19

Nooooo, you gotta do more than just the Batman Beyond movie! At least the first two episodes!

Frankie H

#SundayRundown Granny Goodness is Ed Asner, the old guy from Pixar's "UP", Ed Wuncler from The Boondocks, Santa from Elf. He was a legend. The next episode Knight time is so fun. If you guys ever have a chance to watch extra superman episodes in the future I'd recommend "The Late Mr. Kent," season 2 episode 22. It shows Clark saving lives as a journalist and it deals with such dark subject matter that I'm impressed they got it past the network censorship. I think it's one of the best episodes.

Daniel Gonzalez

He was also Johnny's stepdad in Cobra Kai

Daniel Gonzalez

Damn I was worried about spoilers when they started google searching nothing ever good comes of it or thumbnails but I wasn't expecting that one nor what it said I was actually just wondering something similar myself loved the reaction Superman TAS is my favorite version of the character so I've enjoyed the heck out of all these episodes

Frankie H

YES!!! I forgot that one

#SundayRundown Supergirl (Kara Zor-El) is in most iterations from the planet Krypton, specifically from its survivor city, Argo City. In the DCAU (Kara In-Ze) they change this to Argo being her home world and a sister planet. It was to match what was going on in the comics where Superman was being written as the only Kryptonian as they felt it was better for the story, increased the emotional weight and make him uniquely special. They also got rid of Krypto during this time period as well that’s why you only see that small dog the first episode as homage to the character. While there were non related “versions” of the character, the actual Kara Zor El didn’t return until 2004 after being gone since the late 80s. For future reference; A lot of the character iterations you’ll see in your watch are based off what was popular at the time these shows were being made in the late 90s/early 00s

Zeee

When they’re finished

Zeee

I thought they had episodes lined up

SunnydaleClassof99

#SundayRundown I like the contrast they show between the two characters here. Superman grew up in Smallville & it was years before he realized who he was or his powers. Supergirl was raised in a futuristic utopia & got her powers basically over night.

Roosevelt

#SundayRundown i just want to say god bless Bruce Timm has horrible taste in ships but he made a whole generation of taste makers

Shockzz1234

Yeah, I had a few eps of them in the list. It was only like 5 episodes, I think, (the first two, The Dead Man's Hand ep for the Royal Flush Gang and The Call two parter) so it's strange they'd skip them, it wouldn't take much time lol. Especially when they were debating going back and watching the Lobo STAS eps too (which they should do before they watch The Call, if they plan on doing that still). Ah well. Or maybe Suraj just misspoke lol, it happens.

Shockzz1234

I thought so too, they said they were gonna do some eps from the list. It's possible Suraj just misspoke. It actually wouldn't be the first time they've misspoke with the list, I've noticed them get the number of eps they're doing wrong or saying they're skipping some eps by mistake etc. before, which is fair because it's a sizeable list so it's hard to remember off the top of your head lol, but they've still followed it regardless, so I hope that's the case here and they're still gonna do the eps lol.

Shockzz1234

#SundayRundown - Just for clarification sake, Suraj says at the start of this vid that they're only doing the Batman Beyond movie, but there was also a few eps of the series on the list. Did Suraj just misspeak or did plans change (no worries if they did, I think some people would just like to know based on these comments lol).

Maurice Gray Jr

#sundayrundown So far my favorite of the TAS episodes you've reacted to. Clearly one of the first lessons Clark will need to teach is to not talk and pose when she should be acting. That might work for normal crooks, but she is gonna get the crap kicked out of her every time she fights someone powerful :-)

@eric.na.goo.yen

Regarding BATMAN BEYOND: In the same way that I advise yall to watch the STAS Lobo episodes for bits of context/explanation for a certain thing(s) in Superman’s Fortress of Solitude, I also advise you to watch Batman Beyond season 3, episodes 7+8 “The Call: Part 1 + 2” as they actually feature a plotline that continues off of the establishment of the certain thing(s) from the Lobo episodes/Fortress of Solitude thing(s). Also please please please watch the first 2 episodes of Batman Beyond season 1 🙏 not only would watching the whole series rack up tons of views from watchers, but yall would LOVE IT 🤌

Katra

Appreciate the entertainment Normies!

CJ Dennis

He likely misspoke lol. They showed when first starting this the batman beyond episodes they would watch lol 🤔.

CJ Dennis

After they finish some eps of Superman and then Batman Beyond so they can have some context for that series 🤔.

CJ Dennis

The actor you guys recognized in the first part was Scott Menville who's known for voicing Robin in Teen Titans 🤔.

Michael Colorado

#SunayRundown Instead of The Brown Streak, Suraj could call himself Skatman

Michael Colorado

Supergirl is barefoot, flying around. Did Quinton Tarantino write this episode, or did Stephen Curry

The Normies

this is what we have on the list to cover: BB: Rebirth Part 1 1X1 BB: Rebirth Part 2 1X2 BB: Dead Man's hand 1x8 BB: The Call Part 1 3x8 BB: The Call Part 2 3x9 BB: Return of the Joker

Shockzz1234

Yes this is the list! So Suraj just likely misspoke then, that's fine, thank you!

Smash Bran'Discootch

If any of you have an interest, I HIGHLY recommend reading Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. It's only a few issues(either 6 or 8, I can't remember for sure) but it has my personal favorite Supergirl origin story. Her origin in that comic series shows her being, in my opinion, more heroic than I've ever seen Superman be. Again, thats all my opinion but it **is** objectively dope 😂

Grifter

normally Argo is taken by and stored by Braniac I believe. Daxam is normaly the sister planet.
