Since I have seen several questions about this, I figured a post would help get this information out to whoever is wondering. With our schedule, we do not have time to watch the newest season of The Legend of Vox Machina right now. We will eventually get to it, most likely we will watch it when Season 5 comes out.

This season seems to be more setting up for the end than anything else, so while saying "they're not missing much" is an overstatement this season can very much be caught up with later.

Eh. It's basically Vox machina fan fiction at this point. I understand something changes happen with adaptations. They did a great job with that in the first two seasons and with the first season of M9. But starting with season 3, they have basically rewritten the entire story to where even the bare bones of the story are completely different. Characters are unrecognizable, entire storylines have been retconned; it's been watered down for the sake of mass appeal. Plus, they set rules for the world in the animation that they then totally break. Inconsistent writing is bad writing. That's not even mentioning the travesty of what they've done to poor Tary. They even completely redesigned his character. It's bad and they should feel bad. I mean, it doesn't surprise me considering the absolutely baffling decisions they made for campaigns 3 and 4. But it's still disappointing to see. I just wish I'd never contributed to the kickstarter. All that being said, that is just my viewpoint. If you are enjoying it, don't let me yuck your yum. I am genuinely happy for you being able to enjoy it. I also totally respect your right to disagree with me and your viewpoint is completely valid.
