Definitely a good culmination for Ra's storyline. Since Talia and Ra's were not in the New Batman Adventures, it was a nice surprise to see them here. I also did like that the ending was vague enough set up for Batman Beyond. Well, anyways. For anyone who cares, My Adventures with Superman season 3 premieres June 13th on Adult Swim. So excited for the new season. Personally, I prefer it over STAS.

Brandon Corchado

Also, Denny O'Neil and Neal Adams, the creators of Ra's Al Ghul, said Ra's can be pronounced both ways.

Adan Guzman

Someone please tell me “Out of the Past” will be an episode featured on this channel for the Batman Beyond Episodes. 😩

Steve Harvey Dent

Sadly no. I wish it was since it's a follow up for this episode but no. They're focusing on episode that ties to the justice league.

Denickart

My Adventures With Superman is also getting a spinoff, My Adventures With Green Lantern

Denickart

Yeah if they check out any Batman Beyond besides "Rebirth" and the movie it should definitely be "Out of the Past" and "The Call"

Daniel Gonzalez

So why did they skip New Kids in Town I demand Justice

Daniel Gonzalez

No way its better but preferences are what they are STAS laid the groundwork for Justice League and I'm pretty sure started the wave of having Darkseid and the Jack Kirby 4th world characters playing significant roles in DC, before this I don't think they were as connecred to Superman and main DC

Brandon Corchado

That's fine. But personally I just didn't find the characters or writing to that great or investing. It's not bad by any means, but I just found that STAS to be less consistent than other DC animated shows. For me, My Adventures with Superman has compelling characters, storylines, and emotion. I felt Lois and Jimmy alone have more to do in it than STAS. Plus, I really felt no changes in their characters as I watched STAS. They get the occasional episode focusing on them, but after those episodes, it doesn't feel like the characters changed in any meaningful way. For me, STAS is a 7 out of 10 and My Adventures with Superman is a 9 out of 10.

Thank you for the reaction. A fun World's Finest team up

Jon Mercano

This wasn’t on the list you showed early on! I already finished everything else!

Steve Harvey Dent

There a lot of justice league tied episode they skipped don't forget a little peace from home: the episodes that introduce the kryptonite, hand of fate: the intro of dr fate, girls night out: the batgirl supergirl team up that was in the batman animation series, and fish story: the intro to Aquaman. But that's the episodes they decided to watch.

Maurice Gray Jr

#SundayRundown- This time I saw the Justice League connection easily. This was the second World's Finest team up and both Superman and Batman clearly enjoyed working together. Straight line to the Justice League animated series if I ever saw one :-). Might want to get back to double episodes or it will be this time next year and you're still in the run-up instead of actually watching the Justice League series :-)

Steve Harvey Dent

Don't forget the batman beyond version of over the edge. Eyewitness.

As the one who made the list, I can answer some of these: New Kids in Town - The three who show up from the future (Saturn Girl, Chameleon Boy, Cosmic Boy) are not really integral to JL/U, iirc they DO show up but don't really do anything. Plus, I thought they might get a bit of Brainiac fatigue, so if i could cut out an ep with him to reduce that, it was this one, sorry. Little Peace From Home - Could have been included but like...everyone knows what Kryptonite is and how it affects Superman and how it gets to Earth etc, so I felt it wasn't necessary. Hand of Fate - Could have been included and maybe should have, but I don't think the ep is directly referenced when Dr Fate appears in JL/U, so I thought it skippable. Fish Story - Again could have been included and maybe should have been but again I don't think it's directly referenced. Also Aquaman in JL/U is like...an almost completely different guy than the one from STAS for whatever reason lol. Eyewitness - GREAT episode, one of my favs of BB. But it's not integral at all to JL/U unfortunately. To be clear, ALL of these eps (and more) were on an initial list I created that walked them through both the episodes directly related to JL/U and also just the best episodes of the DCAU in general (even if they weren't directly related to JL/U) however it was like 60+ episodes long, so i shortrned it even further to just some eps I thought were absolutely integral to JL/U and everyone who responded at the time seemed to agree it was a good list. I also said they didn't *have* to watch the shorterned version of the list, but it's what they could do if they felt like they didn't have enough time (or interest) in watching all the 60+ eps i initially listed. So that smaller list is what they themselves chose to watch. Really in a perfect world, they just did what Blind Wave did and watch it all from start to end, but alas lol.

#SundayRundown The bald henchman is Ubu. He debuted in the same issue as Ra's al Ghul, Batman #232 in June 1971. Besides being his right hand man he's also a first class assassin. He's been a fixture in the comics but hasn't gotten adapted outside of that very often.

SunnydaleClassof99

#SundayRundown I love that the Ghul family have different pet names for Batman. Talia: beloved & Ra's al: Detective.

Katra

Chris with his favorite shirt again, and my favorite fictional story.

Daniel Gonzalez

Yeah I wish they would've just continued watching BTAS and all the other shows like BL did but hearing they were watching some of STAS which I actually prefer I got excited especially when despite saying they weren't watching the whole show they did a decent amount of episodes I just love that scene in New Kids with the Kent's and their shotguns but as long as they watch Legacy and at some point the BB movie I'm good

Daniel Gonzalez

That's fine like I said preferences are what they are me personally I like Lois and Jimmy but im here for Superman, but I was moreso talking about the significance of the shows STAS did alot for the character so that's why its tops for me

Solebat

Who created this watch list for them?

Frankie H

#SundayRundown Lois really needs a security system in that apartment. Ra's Al Ghul is usually 600 years old in the comics. Talia implies in this episode that he was a Spanish Conquistador who conquered that Native American tribes in the Southwest US. Which would have been 1550-1600-ish, so yeah about 500-600 years old. Also Talia's voice actress pronounced "Conquistador" wrong. 11:05 on the youtube timer.

Brandon Corchado

Yeah and that's fine. I agree their is no denying how influential this show is for the character.

Shockzz1234

Yeah they added this about a week afterwards as some people on here commented that it's an ep they should watch which wasn't initially on the list haha. There was actually another episode also added, 3x1, but I guess they decided not to watch it.

Shockzz1234

The title of the youtube vid is killing me. My favourite superhero - Supetman.

Michael Acuna

Somehow, I missed out on this episode all these years, but another dynamically cool team-up. Also, totally stellar Lantern rings!! And sadly, Damian Wayne wouldn't be created until 2006 and not in animation until 2010.

Zeee

#SundayRundown it’s a misconception that Superman is weak to magic. He isn't weakened by it, but unlike most other things, he isn't resistant or immune to it. Fun fact; Damien wasn’t a concept when this episode existed. He isn’t a thing until 6 years after this episode dropped. Also, after watching this episode, I’m shocked the Batman Beyond episode Out of the Past (Season 3, Episode 5) isn’t on here. It needs to be added ASAP. I would’ve assumed it be on here simply for the sake of this episode. I do this this is one the cons to not just watching the show.

Zeee

This is a hilarious over exaggeration

Zeee

Then they need to add the Batman Beyond episode then

Zeee

They need to watch the BB episode

Tony Wirt

I think this the first time I’ve seen someone add the “Al” to Ra’s like you did.

Jon Mercano

I would like to petition adding a handful of Beyond episodes. Looking at Max for the number order. Some are admittedly favorites, some for recurring villains, and some just cool •1x3 Blackout •1x5 Meltdown •1x9 The Winning Edge •1x10 Spellbound •1x11 Disappearing Inque (maybe) •1x13 Ascension •2x1 Splicers (maybe) •2x5 Hidden Agenda •2x6 Bloodsport (maybe) •2x7 Once Burned (follow up to Dead Man’s Hand on the list, actually kinda surprised this wasn’t included) •2x14 Eyewitness •3x5 Out of the Past
