Spider-Noir | Episode 5 and Episode 6 | Group Reaction!

Spidey, Micky, Pat, Chris, and Marketa present their review for Spider-Noir | Episodes 5 “Betrayal” and Episode 6 “Nightmare on a Gurney” *Spoiler Alert* These episodes answers the mystery of how Flint Marko (Sandman) and others got their powers. A flashback reveals that during World War I, Ben liberated a lab where Imperial German forces were experimenting on American POWs to create super-soldiers. Ben gained his abilities when he was bitten by a half-human, half-mutant spider in this lab. The villains' powers are unstable and slowly killing them, except for Ben. A scientist formulated a cure using Ben’s blood. This rare cure exists in a highly limited number of doses and drives much of the conflict as characters desperately try to save themselves. Cat deduces that Flint's powers come from the same source as Ben's. Ben admits to her that he took the case investigating Flint to see if there was a way to take the powers back, as the grief over his late fiancée, Ruby, makes him desperately want to just be "normal" again. Cat's knowledge of Ben's secret identity is revealed. The episode concludes with a shocking betrayal by those closest to Ben, fundamentally shifting the stakes and forcing him into a deeper emotional crisis heading into the finale. Step B.

Woah there guys let's not shit talk the only Hulk movie with interesting writing about the Hulk and Bruce Banner. That movie has entertained me more than anything the MCU has done with the character

#SundayRundown Cage is doing an impression of classic movie villain actor Peter Lorre when the dr. discovers him in the office. When he says "You don't like me very much?" it seems to be a reference to Casablanca when he asks Rick "You despise don't you?". Nightmare on a Gurney really ups the stakes visually on what's been an already gorgeous series visually.
