Like Kurama said Gamemaster chose this outcome by his actions still seeing the kid just lose it and panic was tough and I love how you just hear his body drop 1st with the focus on Kuramas face great reaction still wish we did double drops since bleach got double drops and this inspired Bleach and Naruto so technically it should be quadruple drops

MyDude SnakePlisskin

Hey guys, remember that time Kurama murdered a child? 🤣 Based af.

Wouldn't necessarily say he chose the outcome since he didn't realize everything that it actually entailed in part because of the dub's line of him as it heavily implies that Amanuma is incredibly naive. By using a mild phrase like "mess with everyone," it suggests he has no idea that high-class demons eat humans, and genuinely believes Sensui is just delivering a cosmic prank or a disciplinary "shake-up" targeting bad people (I believe he says something different in the original translation). When Kurama laid it out for him to realize that he made a choice in choosing wrong over right that it would lead to his punishment being death which was to shake Amanuma's disposition so that he would lose hence why Genkai said about it being a dirty trick but one that Kurama had to do in weighing the best outcome for everyone from Sensui putting them into the trolly dilemma. You cannot truly "choose" an outcome if you are manipulated into a contract without knowing its fatal clauses. If Kurama had truly believed that the boy didn't deserved his fate then he wouldn't have even asked him of there being a way to shutdown the game to save both parties. And while Kurama could have choked at the game he can't afford to because by doing so then Amanuma's mindset could have been fixed in putting them all in a endless gameplay loop.

Yeah can't forget Kurama was willing to help a guy obtain an item for eating children's souls if it meant achieving his goal.

It's so much fun to see how you were all laughing and having a good time, even while the child was crying, saying he didn't want to die because you thought, "It's just a kids' show, everything will be alright in the end..." And how everyone's demeanor became more serious and silent when it all sank in. (GOD I love how this show knows how to build up a scene, no over the top animations or psychedelic colors flashing like crasy, just Kuramas straig face getting swallowed by the shadows and the cold sound of a droping dead boddy..) Yes, you're in the BLACK CHAPTER, things are dark. Stakes are high and even kids can die while crying for mercy.

This was an intense episode to watch because I can see and feel Kurama's inner rage when he had no choice to kill Amanuma. Plus, Kurama did help that one demon guy who wants to eat children's souls. While Kurama did had blood in his hands from his past that he had kill children before, but from my point of view I always feel like Kurama hated this path in order reach Sensui to save the human world. He didn't want to kill Amanuma, but it was the only way. This saga was really dark because it shows that even children are not safe as well.

I remember watching this the first time and my reaction was like damn, shit just got real 🤣 Also love when we get to see stone cold Kurama, my man used to be a legendary bandit lmao

This is when I finally realized: "$hit, this ain't Dragon Ball." 😂

It hurts that Kurama needed to kill a child in order to get the team closer to saving humanity. With three enemies down, how difficult is Sensui and the other two?

Man kurama is cold blooded

MyDude SnakePlisskin

Roto: "Come on, Kurama! You believe in mercy, dont you?" Kurama: "No."

This is how Greed Island came to be lol. Btw, Sensui is even worse in the sub. The tone of voice he uses to talk to Amanuma is really messed up. He talks like a cool uncle playing with his nephew as if they were best buddies. As if he truly cared. When he's actually grooming him to die for his cause without Amanuma even realizing it. 🤯

Sonicluis

Kurama is just to cold and calculating. His without a doubt my favorite character

In the manga, Amanuma talks about how the demons will "spread panic" and about not going to school. I think this is one of those cases where a child doesn't fully understand something until $hit hits the fan. Sensui, took advantage of Amanuma's situation and talked to him about turning the world upside down, not about killing all of humanity. In any case, imo Kurama was right. Amanuma didn’t really want to kill anyone (just for the way he interacts with Yusuke and the others, you can see that what this kid really wanted were friends that played with him), but nevertheless, deep down he knew they were doing something bad and that it was possible that some people were gonna get hurt. He just didn’t care because he wasn’t going to suffer the consequences. The craziest thing for me is that, knowing how ruthless Kurama can be and with the fate of the world at stake, I honestly think he would've done the same if Amanuma was 100% innocent. Something that's different in the sub is that Kurama tries to get Amanuma to understand what's actually going on before he finally shocks him with the truth, while the English dub has Kurama reveal it from the start.

Time to look at Toonami promos for that nostalgia kick.

There's a very important line that people always over look in this episode. And that line tells you no matter what Game Master was going to die. If Kurama choked it would have just prolonged it because the kid says "he would throw the game once the tunnel was open." Meaning Sensui set this kid up to die no matter what the outcome was. Kurama was being Merciful in letting the child know about his choices in following Sensui and ended it sooner rather than later.

Next episode is one of my favorites. That battle is great.
