Loid tries to to smooth things over, but is called away for an emergency call from WISE. It turns out that Wheeler, a mole, has smuggled information about WISE, including Operation Strix, outside of HQ. The mole is identified as Winston Wheeler, a former WISE operative and Ostanian deep-cover agent believed to be responsible for recent spy purges. Intelligence suggests he has crossed the border and into Shellbury, where the SSS has also mobilized. As both agencies arrive at the region, Fiona suggests cutting off all active operations in Ostania, but Loid insists on continuing the mission to recover the stolen files, emphasizing the importance of Operation Strix. Meanwhile, the SSS's mission to secure Wheeler is an unofficial one, as the government does not want to risk their relationship with Westalis over the theft of files. Regardless, the Lieutenant tells his squad not to draw attention to themselves and adds that this would be the most opportune moment to catch Twilight should he appear.
