NARUTO POLL: Should we watch the movie before episode 107? (Patreon)

Next week we will be skipping a handful of filler episodes, however some of you pointed out that you might want us to watch this movie before continuing with the show! We have no idea what it's all about as we're trying not to spoil ourselves so do be mindful in the comments! Please vote today!

I've never seen a single Naruto movie that was great. They all range from bad to good. You guys are already watching Naruto for a long time...imo don't drag it out with mediocre movies created almost solely to profit off the IP.

I just want to let you know that there will be references to the filler episodes in ep 107 so you might not know what’s going on or what they are talking about for some parts. Maybe just watch these few fillers off camera so that won’t happen??

All Naruto movies are filler and dont contribute to the Show at all EXCEPT FOR THE LAST. Which is Naruto Shippuden into Boruto so you have time. Still though, there are some good ones that i would recommend watching later down the line

It totally unnecessary, but movies are good for most part! It’s Naruto with good animation and fights, but without good story. There is only one of them is canon. It’s Naruto: The Last And it’s gorgeous!

The movies may not be canon, but they're a fun time if you just wanna see the characters have adventures. The same can be said for some of the fillers. People are just way too impatient and want you to rush through the story.

I think it's less about wanting them to rush through, and more about recognizing that this is already going to take a long-ass time for them to get through without any filler episodes or the movies. There's definitely some fun stuff in the movies/fillers, but padding out what's already going to take them years to get through is a bit crazy.

Honestly, transitioning from 101 to 107 next week is gonna feel a bit weird...to be honest, so yeah...I think having the double drop next week be 101 and the movie would feel a bit more appropriate for next weeks post.

Naruto movie always has high quality animation which is way different from TV series. They're not canon but definitely worth doing a reaction. I'm dying to watch your episode 107 reaction but I vote to movie because I hope you can only see some precious team 7 work for now, before you once enter some arc which can never return.

Well, if they do skip this movie then we wont get a movie reaction until the Last, which is meant to be watched like in the late 400s of Shippuden, also...the Boruto movie is obselete now, there is literally no more reasons to watch that movie Iykyk. I say vote for this movie since LoS and The Last will be the only movies the Genin should react to.

Tbh you guys should watch the movies after the series cause all the movies are fantastic. But they might have a spoiler about kakashi and his.... but I def would love u guys to react to the movies because visuals, storyline, characters, and the FIGHTS are amazing 🔥. Ofc after the series tho 🙏🏽

The Land of Snow movie is AMAZING in terms of animation, action and pacing. It has all the things the Normies absolutely love about modern anime. After recently rewatching it, I can’t believe at all the movie came out in 2004. Please watch it in its dubbed version if you haven’t before before deciding here! Tonally it goes perfectly with 101, and if they watch 101 and LoS for next week then we’ll get a triple drop for 107-109 the week after! Those three episodes are best watched together! If they’re broken up it’ll feel like having the Lee vs Gaara fight broken up. The momentum will be lost.

And this is their only chance to watch LoS BEFORE 107. The events of the movie take place before the final arc and their perception of the movie will be different if they watch it at the end of the series (and there’s no guarantee they will). The movie is only 1 hour and 20 mins long, barely longer than an episode of Black Mirror or one of their live action shows. It will mean just one more week before we get to 107-109. This is the ONLY movie that has what this movie has - none of the others do. So please consider everyone 🙏🙏🙏🙏

But the movies are correlated with anime/manga canon in terms of timeline, especially this one. They won’t see it the same if they watch it after the end of Naruto. The other two pre-Shippuden movies though take place after the final arc so it makes sense to watch it then.

Super biased here because I remember continuously renting the film from my local video store as a kid, but it's a pretty nice fun movie. If you guys just wanna have a fun time I'd highly recommend watching it, it's really nice.

Yo fam, I know most of ya'll just want the Genin to get to the good stuff quick, #TSRAHYPE!! but one of the reasons I want them to react to the LoS movie is because I want to steer them in a path where they can experience the ups and downs of each aspect of the show. No one is sayin the Genin should react to every movie cos they shouldn't, just the first one...I mean this movie holds a place in the fanbases heart due to it being Naruto's first ever movie despite it feeling like a Pokemon movie. 🤣 In any case we probs will never get a movie reaction until the last and it should be the only one that needs a reaction to anyways since the Boruto one is obselete now (Iykyk 👀) So pls guys just consider it.

Look the main reason people don't want the normies to take their time and observe good Naruto material if it's not canon is because we're moving at a slow 2-episode pace per week. If you end up watching any filler or movies, don't take spend a full week dedicated to it and nothing else. Release it as a separate medium for the fans in addition to the weekly episodes. Maybe watch 102-106 on your own time or something. There will be scenes in 107 that won't make sense without watching the next filler, strangely enough.

It's kind of like the My Hero movie... Where you still see ALLMIGHT but if you watch the movie after season 3 you know that this movie takes place before the All For One episodes..... So you can watch the movies... But it depends if you want it in chronological order

Since Ive watched naruto atleast 10 times starting from 10 years ago I will comment. I prefer you guys watching atleast the first naruto movie because its a classic awesome interpretation of what naruto is actually like and his defining character.

Watch the movies sometime. Naruto will be better as a whole for you guys if you can actually experience it. Once shippuden comes it’s a long ride so might s well learn what you can and connect with the characters while they are still young

The first movie definitely is one of my favorites. The only thing I dislike about Naruto movies, and anime movies in general, is that they're often just well animated filler. One off villains and settings that we'll never see again. Worth seeing, but it's up to you guys. You're not really missing any story.

Best choice (if you want to honor the poll results) would probably be to watch the movie on your own time! BEFORE STARTING THE NEXT ARC. And while you’re at it, maybe give 102-106 a watch on your own time too. The episodes aren’t that good imo, but they play a small role in the next arc, and you’ll be a tiny bit confused in episode 107 when a character recalls those event. (If you decide not to watch 102-106 then remember, any scenes in 107 that do not ring a bell, forget them, imagine they weren’t there.)

The movies are great in the sense that you see the characters in situations you do not see in the series. I do not know what is up with this polling. I say enjoy the show and watch things as it unfolds naturally. Why rush this series because once it’s over, it’s over.

I'm late, but Clash is really good! If you're going to watch any movies, just watch Clash. It's filler in terms of plot, but the animation is mostly hand drawn/traditional (rare nowadays, with noticeable difference), and really well done.
