Based on Chuck's description of his symptoms, I've always felt like he is having full-on panic attacks, but because he's Chuck had to attribute it to something around him other than himself, and latched on to the electromagnetic field thing. Now he's created the association so when he is around electronic objects he has a panic attack

The producers said the chair-stair-railing folks were kind enough to come set up that house with a sliding chair. BCS wanted to slow the chair down tho for the joke, which was not okay with the railing company people. Then seeing it in action, they were like 'oh don't worry...we don't need to slow it down for comedic effect..' Which is fine! Safety first. Otherwise better call Saul for some sweet lawsuit cash
