Glenn being badass AF by making a walker club wasn't on my bingo card when I first watched this episode back in the day hahaha. I mean...not only does it work as an improvised shank, it'll also infect them! I haven't been able to decide whether or not if Glenn intentionally went for the walker, because he knew he'd be really fucking over that person's day, or if it was just a spur of the moment improvisation that Glenn didn't consider the consequences of. Also I think Jimmy was just her boyfriend.

When Merle and his crew were hunting Michonne he shot her in the leg and figured she would die out there so he lied to the governor about killing her, in turn makes the governor think Merle betrayed him since she's clearly not and returns, though he does use that to rally the town and shift the blame to Merle.

This episode cements the intelligence & psychopathic capabilities of the governor. The gladiator type battles they were having were done purposely by the governor in case he had the right time to do what he did with Daryl & Merle. It’s the get people used to these things & they’ll be more apt to accept it for one of their own. The people need to get used to the violence (desensitized) so they’ll be more accepting of future increased violence.

I think that writing is more questionable because of Andrea than Michonne. If Andrea can’t even put two and two together from just looking around the environment then I don’t think any amount of words will make a difference. And Michonne couldn’t linger there long.

Yeah I think Tom has been confused by Beth’s comment when she was suicidal that was something like “Jimmy?… so I dated him for 3 months and now I’m married to him?” Saying that because he was stuck with them when the apocalypse hit that she felt like they were “married” now since he was her bf at the end of the world.

Yeah, Tom really does want to “figure out” the walkers, which I can respect as a fellow skeptic. especially since the walkers from season 1 and the walkers to now differ in a lot of ways (running, multiple hits with a bat to the head to take them out, etc.) and I think some of it can be explained by decay over time, but hopefully he’ll understand that the walkers have changed a bit since then and not get too hung up on the details.

The way the governor turned around and looked at Merle when Merle came in and asked what happened. He realized that Merle lied saying that Michonne was dead. That’s why he believes Merle orchestrated the whole thing.

For me Andrea is the most insufferable character, completely charmed and duped by the sociopath governor and betrays Michonne her best friend that saved her life. I was never on the Andrea train. This is peak cinema though, TV never and prob will never get as good as the walking dead again. As for penny the governors daughter, i think hes been feeding her and washing her so she isn't decomposing as much but not sure.
