I always wondered about Hannah's outfits, almost always a white shirt, black or dark bra underneath. I remember when it first came out, people expressed a theory that the bright white clothes paired with a dark bra was a metaphor for her outward appearance of a fresh start masking an inner darkness.

my thoughts exactly. it makes perfect sense. the more he learns to feel the less in control he is. only he didn't grow up with those feelings so it's amplified by the lack of experience controlling those feelings.

Yeah exactly what I thought, outwardly she appears a good person, but dark on the inside.. i always find that stuff fascinating in shows , like in breaking bad the way they used clothing colours to symbolize their moods and state of mind.
