I dont think its fair to call the movie god awful. It has a lot of mental health themes especially at the start relating to the mc's ww1 veteran father and how he grew up and it tells the true story of a hero during ww2 who saved a lot of lives without ever carrying or firing a weapon. It also has a lot of christian themes in it that Tom would probably appreciate. Just because the movie isnt the one you want it isnt fair to shit on it
