Let’s go Tom! Keep pushing through! Keep moving forward

Serious Sneeze

Some people don’t like this episode because of the whiplash from the brutal episode 1 to this peaceful episode 2. But I think that’s mostly for people who binge and watched this ep right after ep 1. I waited the week between episodes when it came out so it wasn’t as bad. So I’m glad you at least took some type of break between these first two episodes

Cyrill_JJK

Some reprieve, huzzah!

Dee D

It can always get worse. IJS 🤷🏿‍♀️🤐

Callie

As someone who knows nothing about pewpew wounds, I always assumed through and through is best for immediate care. Less moving around to do potential damage... but if it's in there, it can help prevent bl0od loss.

Nix

THE KIIIINGDOOOOM IS HEEEEEERE !! 🐸

Korivex

I love Ezekiel.... he brings light and hope into this show.... just seeing his face makes me smile. I knew you HAD to get to this episode to break up the trauma from the last couple.

Vamwolf 77

This episode has my favorite shot in the entire series: the Kingdom fighter on a rearing horse driving a spear into a walker's head. It also introduces two of my favorite main characters and one of my favorite background characters.

Nix

Ezekiel and Jerry are definitely in my top faves! I love Jerry's comedic relief. 😆 Ezekiel is such a wholesome character!

ALoneWolf047

This is the episode we all needed. The only thing that truly sucked is knowing we still had to face the aftermath of what happened with the rest of the group in the next episode.

Korivex

I completely agree on both points.

Brat Princess

King Ezekiel is a good lookin dude.

MaggieS61

Staying at that house wasn’t Carol deciding to leave. This was what Ezekiel meant when he said, “You can leave, and not leave”. This was his idea. Ezekiel is such a sweetheart.

LizaLovesYou

I was cackling when Tom was talking about the creators of the show giving us a break and keeping us from experiencing mental breakdowns from the show 😄😄😄 this episode really is a good stress relief from the prior episodes

Ashley Wise

Tom if you had to pick a community to live in would you pick Alexandria, The Hilltop, or The kingdom? Id pick The Kingdom.

Stephen L

Seeing her go to that house and I’m sorry there’s no way. It would smell absolutely horrendous even without a walker living in it lol. Hot and humid and sticky all summer. I’d be moving to the north west region somehow lol

Heather

"it cant get any worse" = things to never say about The Walking Dead. ever. never ever. ever. 😀

Rosa

Tom’s face when the tiger cones out 😂

Squeak418

When I first watched this episode I didn't like or appreciated it. I just wanted to see Alexandria and to make sure everyone was okay. Now I really see how the show distanced us from that trauma and gave us a little breather.

Sussie

Love Ezekiel. Yeah, a respit episode. Just what we needed!

Daniel Burnham

Really depends depends depends. If it’s through and through your heart = bad. If it stops just short of your heart, less bad but still very bad ™️

Daniel Burnham

I think it’s really interesting with this opening scene with Carol to consider what normalizing walkers would do to people. Like the idea that you could kill something that walks around and generally looks like a person is pretty far afield for almost everyone

Andrew R

What do you mean? He watched the next day

Daniel Burnham

Imagine being thrust into the apocalypse and Jerry is right next to you taking nothing seriously

Andrew R

I took some graduate level classes on genocide. If you watched taped interviews or read about female nurses in the U.S. army and especially Russian female soldiers, you'd realize that a bullet through the arm and leg (unless major arteries are hit of course) doesn't always keep people from continuing with their mission. A Russian nurse comes to mind who got most of her foot blown off and simply wrapped her leg up and continued tending to the wounded for hours.

Marlon Adams

think you for sticking with it tom

Amy J

I adore Ezekiel and Shiva 🥹 my vet nurse heart can't take it ❤️❤️

Demceez

the walking dead op survival graphic horror meets fantasy game of thrones.. minion tigers and hilltops rpg vs all of the kingdoms men. Ughh 😒i need to massage my eyeballs with a syringe to sooth the cringe

Hyperion

A little fun fact tom, since you werent there for the Hiatus between season 6 and 7, the fans in fact did not know who was going to be killed by lucille at the end of 6.16. The creators of the show made alternate endings of the episode that had EVERY cast member killed by negan and lucille. Those cutaway clips you see Rick having is footage of that scene where negan takes out a cast member to protect the studio from having leaks. The fans had to wait 1 year between the finale of season 6 and the pilot of season 7. The walking dead at the time suffered SEVERE leaks all the time about certain details. The comic of course was ahead of the show by quite a while. But a lot of details between the show are lost between the adaptations. For example, There are some characters who are featured after certain points early in the story that are not alive in either adaptation. To disquise the truth of who was going to die in the show against Negan (at his introduction) , the crew had to film scenes of everyone dying and released the clips intentionally, to smoke screen the twist. The reason a lot of people left at the premier of season 7 was due to the fact that in the comic, who dies is not concealed. Its all in one page, instead its all in a single chapter. The person is chosen by negan and killed on the spot. But for the show, we had to wait a year. Which deterred a lot of people, hence the "i quit at X, Y, and Z point of the show". I firmly believe the show is a lot easier to enjoy when you can consume it at your own pace. some of us, like me, grew up with Glenn from the start.

B. Paul

Honestly Tom, I think maybe you should end the show after the whole Savior’s arc. The rest of the show isn’t worth watching in my opinion… that’s just me tho

Harley

This episode was a ice break from the trauma of the last few episodes. I love the chemistry between Carol and Morgan this episode, and even Carol and Ezekiel once he dropped the act.

Liz G

Dont talk too soon about Ezekiel, he becomes a fave.

Alex_Skull123

He's so sweet the world of twd needed him

kvn bckmn

i love to see th bond between carol and morgan. they were on two opposite extreams, carol who whould kill for ppl she loves an Morgan who had tried the quiet opposite and now they are closer together on the "spectrum", understanding the other even more

Alyona Ovcharenko

That’s not fair to say tho. He should experience the whole show plus the spin offs. Some seasons are better than others which I agree but it’s just not fair to suggest that when so many fans like myself are waiting for him to watch everything and give his insight to our favorite and least favorite parts:)

SixFeetUnderKai

"I don't know what the hell's going on in the most wonderful way." Is one of my favorite lines from Carol 🤣🤣🤣

SixFeetUnderKai

This part. I ended up falling in love with particular eras and I absolutely ADORED Fear The Walking Dead.

B. Paul

I mean yeah I guess. I just keep hearing him say I don’t want to watch this show anymore and I know that feeling too well around this point in the show haha.
