People stopped watching the show because of pacing issues and bad writing over the next couple of seasons. In fact, the opposite, people kept watching because of Negan.

I don't think Dwight is trying to be a 'little Negan'.... if anything he is trying to be Daryl.... Dwight is under Negan's control too, Negan has his wife after all, the fear doesn't just work on our people.... it works on Negan's people too. Dwight has to 'get the job done' to avoid Negan.... so breaking Daryl is one of the things that is essential, for multiple reasons, for Dwight.... to appease Negan and to make him feel better about himself, because unlike Daryl, he kneeled, he gave in because he 'had' to.... yet Daryl doesn't seem to 'have' to give in.... as long as Daryl doesn't give in it shows Dwight that it really wasn't his only option.

Negan doesn’t kill kids, nor does he abuse them. He fucks with them a little bit, but he respects the hell out of them in a very weird way. I will not tolerate that kind of Negan slander lol. He would die for any one of these kids if he had to. You’ll see Tom.

I think at this point in the show for me, I don’t actually know that. He hasn’t killed Carl, but I think that’s because he needs Rick. And secondly, it makes Negan look really psychotic to respect children that much, but be willing to kill their parents or any other adult that matters to them right in front of their face…. It’s nuts!😩 Maybe something happens later that changes things but right now I don’t think he cares whether he traumatizes anyone at any age

I agree with you, the more I watch the more. I realize Dwight wants to be just like Daryl and is very jealous of who he is and how much self-confidence he has. I think he carries a lot of guilt that he acts out with anger

Be careful how you judge people Tom. Remember, Dwight is only doing what he's doing to keep Sherri alive, just like she's doing what she does to keep him alive. They're just as trapped as Daryl. And you're right, the Saviours are a lot like the Roman empire, or the old Feudal system. And look what happened to them.

Worse than Negan's behavior it was Rick being so broken that bothered me the most. I understood it but to see him not be able to speak up was disturbing. It was a similar feeling for me to continue the show to see where they would go. It was a good choice since I appreciated the journey. The emotional rollercoaster doesn't really ever end but it was a great ride.

Not gonna lie, this season can feel like it drags on with how grueling and stressful it can be. On TV the episodes were stretched out, so there was time to take it in (and yeah, people would stop watching because of this season), and I remember the first couple times I binge watched it I was super stressed out lol. There will still be some really awesome and rewarding moments, so hang in there!

It's not hard to believe that Negan's henchmen behave as they do to mirror Negan and it's also fair to say at least some of them are literally like Negan and the real Negan brings it out of them.

i won’t say what to avoid spoilers but don’t forget the season 7 finale, negan 100000% would’ve done X had it not been interrupted. that’s just a fact.

This is my second time watching this episode and it has occurred to me that this is actually what a government would have you believe anarchy is. Disrupting the natural order of an otherwise orderly society. What it really is is predatory measures to assert dominance. Anarchy isn't inherently violent or disruptive, it's about freedom or I guess your own agency.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan plays negan..when the writing gets sloppy his acting makes up for it. I think negan as a character will grow on you the moree you watch
