This week I'm featuring the photography of licensed droned pilot, Drew Armstrong, with references to the early drone lighting innovator, Reuben Wu.

More than anyone else, Reuben started the whole idea of capturing the circular light patterns from lights on the drone. Next, came the technique of hovering above foreground features, cropping out the drone, and casting down "God-like" light from above, like Eric Brummel has done.

Hardly anyone is using the drone to do classic Low level Lighting from behind buttes or towers, or from perpendicular angles. Even I have yet to do this. Maybe you'll be the first!

PDF: Be sure to download (below) and view my latest Version 2.0 eBook update with "Guest Artist" Drew Armstrong.

NOTE: My patrons can expect to see many more posts over the next month, as I continue to "serialize" updates to my original, version 1.1 "Milky Way NightScapes" eBook. These advance updates will become available exclusively to my patrons, page-by-page, until my new version 2.0 eBook is completed and published on or about March 31, 2024.
