Guest Artist, Marybeth Kiczenski has an obsession with the Mackinac Bridge. She's constantly trying to get a better photo of this bridge. "Mac" is the longest suspension bridge between anchorages in the Western Hemisphere.
Its size is not the reason I'm showing it here today—it's to compare how Marybeth has pushed through the oppressive light pollution in this area, using three techniques that are described in today's ebook update. Both images were shot with the same lens, three years apart, and most of the EXIF data is the same, except for three items that bring greater clarity, depth and color to the Milky Way on the right.

NOTE: My patrons can expect to see many more posts over the next month, as I continue to "serialize" updates to my original, version 1.1 "Milky Way NightScapes" eBook. These advance updates will become available exclusively to my patrons, page-by-page, until my new version 2.0 eBook is completed and published on or about March 31, 2024.
