After all these years, it is the end. But the moment has been prepared for. I watched Heartstopper Forever and filmed myself watching it for your amusement. Did it finally convert me into a Heartstopper fan? Or did my heart just...stop? And I died? Watch now to find out!

Your unimpressed face made me laugh out loud, thank you

Ruxandra Grecu

Lollllll. Haven't watched the show since S1, but oved seeing you suffer haha. I mean, it was entertaining. btw, a long long time ago, after I liked S1, I watched your video about queer representaiton that involved it and I had a pretty powerful shift in how I engage with queer art. I'm now very into messy chaotic 'problematic' stuff.

Docteur Pralinus

I’ve been waiting for this.... praying for this

Gab

Very fun to go over it again with your commentary. Didn't like watching it as well and since my wife and i are responsible adults who pay taxes and not the babies it's intended for, we couldn't even watch it all the way through in one evening 'cause work was too much. so we had this for two evenings... and now if you have your pre-teen watching it, you have got to hold them off watching the last seasons/film and not because there's sex but because it's really fucking bad. like... the NRE is cute and all, but it doesn't last. and i don't think the film or previous season landed the story about how to be in a relationship once the novelty has worn off. (or that you should even stay in the relationship, can we stop it with this soulmate bs??) they should have gone for a full tonal change to reflect the way they're young adults now who drink alcohol, have bad sex in the club toilets, who then get told off for not being protected, so cut to: nervewreckingly waiting for their test results.

Scary Cary

Really wasn't ready for that jump scare blowjob

I stand by the opinion that the budget/episode limit for this movie should've just been absorbed into Season 3 and that's where we should've ended.

Rachela Jaksa

Now I need deep (like, really deep) dive into comic books 🥺

Lindsey Mercer

Some of what you said reminded me of my experience reading Heated Rivalry, where the language suggests YA, but the sex is so graphic, that it puts me, a 45-year-old woman, in the incredibly awkward position of feeling like I'm spying on teenagers having sex.

Jo Müller

I love heartstopper but I do agree that the film would have been better if they'd let Nick and Charlie truly break up and mess around for a bit :D

Còiseam

So, , what I'm hearing is that Heartstopper rolled around on the ground so Heated Rivalry could run?

Radclyffe Baker

Justice for Biscuit! Or maybe he's better off far away from this soulless universe.

Anna

Not to spoil Heated Rivalry but (if the show follows the books) Ilya *also* becomes a dog guy in season 2 so you might actually be onto something with the bisexuals and dogs thing

JoshuaMartian

The finale has the energy of a young person insisting they've had sex because they see it as a mark of maturity but can't describe any of the details because y'know, they haven't. I actually do think Nick and Charlie would watch verilybitchie because they are such idealised characters who always have the correct up-to-the-minute takes. If there were another season Nick would just inorganically summarise The Bisexual Problem for his peers and they'd all nod approvingly.

CJ Gibson

I remain (half-jokingly, so I guess also half-seriously?) convinced that this has all the sex in it because Trixie and Katya never stopped complaining about how much the earlier seasons *didn’t* have any while doing their Netflix-sponsored review show. (Of course when they watched this they also then complained about all the teens having sex, so I hope those Netflix executives learned their lesson.)

Karoliina Ollikainen

Been hoping for this 🙏 I’ve watched heart stopper just through your reaction videos and needed to know how it ended haha.

I’m always uncomfortable with stories that try to shoehorn life long monogamy into high school romances—very much an issue in the “To All the Boys…” sequels! Like sorry to this plot, but most people who stay with the first person they dated in HS: it doesn’t end well 🫩… why can’t we have stories that show that teen love is great and important, even when it doesn’t last forever? Let kids know that they’ll survive a breakup! Like.

Dora Mercedes

Truly impressive how much nothing happens

KayTen

To be fair, I assume that's what the Tao and Elle subplot was supposed to be about. It was very underdeveloped and didn't get much focus, but I could've sworn the movie ended with them broken up but still great friends.

I got into romance and LGBTQ+ media a few years ago and Heartstopper was the second BL (Alice Oseman's gonna kill me for calling it this) I've ever watched. I still think the first two seasons are good, but very overrated. Then, the flaws became too hard to ignore and I absolutely hated the 3rd season and movie. So, it's been fun getting the patreon and watching someone else revel in their dislike for the series. But now I'm sad that it's truly over and there will be no more Heartstopper content for you to react to. Unless you wanna review the comics that I'm struggling to finish. A compare and contrast? Hmmm? 👀

Patrick Malloy

I mainly watched Heartstopper Forever so I could thoroughly enjoy your reaction. I was also furious at Charlie taking that plastic bag at the photo shop. I really need to know the creative decisions that went into including that moment.

Andrew

Eh, to be fair, media rarely/never shows the unglamourous parts of straight sex either.

I must admit I really enjoyed the first season, I would have loved to see this when I was a teen in 90's France, completely unaware I was bi (and trans, and on the asexual spectrum too...). There was no positive representation on TV, we had Madonna music videos and that's about it. The only queer shows I had access to later as an adult were Queer as folk US and Tales of the city. I really enjoyed them but didn't see myself in it and still thought I was straight and just an ally 😅 (maybe being autistic didn't help haha). That said, i totally understand why you hate Heartstopper, and I didn't enjoy the film at all (soooo boring.....) at least your comments made it fun 😄
