Heya lovely friends!  It's Friday again and this week we've got something a little different for ya that I think you're going to love!  We filmed so much on the passage that we thought it would be cool to put together a sensory sailing experience full of beautiful sights, relaxing sounds, lots of dolphins, family life at sea, and just general tranquilo groovy vibes for you to enjoy :)

Now that you've already seen the edited episodes from the sail, kick back and zone out to this for just under an hour.  It's a combination of natural sounds and imagery as well as certain parts that have music too just to take you deeper into the mood.  Let us know if you like the combination of natural sounds with music, or if you're more of a sailing purist and just want to hear nothin' but the ocean (and of course the weird podcasts we sometimes have playing in the background while we're sailing...there's one hidden gem in here in particular that we were cracking up at while putting this together, let us know if you hear it 😂)

Here is the direct link to watch on YouTube: https://youtu.be/rPpAXOk8mP4

Meanwhile over here in the Sea of Cortez life is slowly returning back to normal after all the chaos and stress of the last few weeks.  It feels fantastic to get back into the cruiser groove and just relax a bit.  Also in case you missed our post earlier this week, we've got all the details, times and dates for our Patrons only meet up at the boat show, plus booth times and a info about a special presentation I'm doing about my circumnavigation, so go check that one out if you haven't yet.

Sending peaceful and relaxing energy to everyone, hope you enjoy ✌️💕🍺

I liked the previous SLOW TV for some background stuff, maybe zone out for a while but they were very raw. The long, static shots from mounted GoPros were relaxing but this version, at only 14 minutes in, is already a cut above the predecessors. Very well done to give the SLOW TV rendition just a touch of an edit. The outro into the marina was a perfect amount of static shot. All in all, a very great direction for the SLOW TV episodes and I say keep doing them!

Love the Slow TV! I’ll have my Delos Slow TV playlist going on cold winter weekends. Once or twice now, I’ve played them all day long. Just perfect background to cooking or anything.

Victoria Makris

Wowowow stunning! I love the music and nature sounds along side the footage - it gives us your vision, takes us deeper in to the interpretation of your experience and makes this a beautiful piece of art. This was an absolutely delightful creation and share! I've gotta say it was as deep as it was wide, hahaha ;) Is there a medical term for 'inspired health and joy by SV Delos?'

Ok. Who’s crazy idea was it? I didn’t like it… 🤪 I loved 🥰 it!!! So spiritual, it took me back to a sail I did from Sicily to Majorca via Sardinia in a 35ft Hallberg Rassy. The sounds the feeling the emotions. I’m slowly recovering from Long Covid after catching it Mid June and it flooring me. I was so active 3-4 times per week playing and coaching (Squash) and since 3 weeks of being ill with it (I’m immunosuppressed) I’ve been unable to do any exercise even gently walks 20mins exhaust me, I feel the road is a long one back to recovery, but with you guys and your journey it fills me up with so much hope and joy and thanks to you for sharing you life with so many of us. Stay safe and keep doing what you do best. Love Anthony.

The cockpit timelapse with the Nuggs was the cuteness.

Dave Crombie

Absolutely LOVE,LOVE,LOVED it!!!!!! Not sure how you guys consistently nail it with the mixture of music and nature sounds but you do! I really enjoyed the docking at the end, Brian is a master!!!!

CHRISTOPHER DOFF-SOTTA

You guys could play violins and stuff and I would still watch... hell I love watching this. Lol

Myra Slepoy

Oh my, this was so wonderful and chill. I loved around minute 33 with the time lapse of playing with Sierra. Just chiuckled as I watched. Thank you for making my Friday that much brighter.

Linda Medders

It is really cool to hear the sounds that you guys listen to while sailing, puts me right there on the boat with you. The dolphins communicating with each other while swimming next to you is also fun. I really enjoyed the video.

Barbara Whiteside

Just watched the dolphin portion 😍😍 Love the audio and the slow motion 👌 That is the first time I have seen them exhale before breaking the surface 😀 Thank you!!

Marshall Schroeder

What a beautifully done and enjoyable video. Great combination of activity and lack of activity :-). I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.

Sailing SV Delos

Sailing SV Delos

Aw so sorry to hear that Covid really took you down, but so very glad we're able to provide you a happy escape and bring the good vibes your way. Best wishes on your road to recovery and we'll keep bringing you along on our journey!

Sailing SV Delos

So happy you enjoyed it Myra, haha she's such a crack up and definitely inspires us to get a little more creative with play times when we're at sea!

Sailing SV Delos

Thanks Linda, I think this passage was one of our most dolphin-y ones ever, was so amazing to go through all the amazing footage we got of them, they're such a joy to see every time, even after all these years 😁😁

Sailing SV Delos

It's SO COOL to review the slow mo footage and see all the little movements, breathes, and the way the water plays and moves around them. Such an beautiful creature!

Janine Van Leeuwen

Looks like you and the "crew" had some "down time" to enjoy the "views" . Awesome sunset and distant lightning. Provided a sense of what it is like to be on S/V Delos. As I viewed this episode, I tried to get my "perch" to list and sway, ha, ha. Please consider doing more of this type of videography in the future.

Tim Cone

Woo Hooo! Awesome video guys. Love the action packed video but would love to see more slow TV in the future.

Jeremy Litchfield
