Hey guys,

It's time for another of these. Normally I do them between books, but the separation between book 6 and 7 is a bit unclear because part of the ending for #6 has been moved to #7.

But that doesn't mean I don't want to hear from you guys! This is the thread to make your voices heard.

What do you guys want to see?

More of Liliana the Sorceress? More of Seraphyne?

Less of Reluna's perversions? More?

Father-son time with Adrian? Off-world adventures? Adventures on the new Earth?

More integration stages? See Earth after the integration is over?

Something else entirely?

Let me know in the comments below!

I keep waiting for the Governess’ Andromeda evolution. I sense that the Sharkette suggestion has been shouted down in spite of increased battles with the Void? I know Wednesday has been discarded, but the newbie from the Mage Council has possibilities.

Benjamin Raush

More governess sentience and system influence; Also maybe a bit more of a re-visit of the Amazonian family and its greater universe influence, it was what originally hooked me into the story, an unknown person getting 'married' into a society/family that is so much larger than they were. Somewhat of a pauper -> prince in a much larger setting.

Julian Lachner

I would like more of jade. Seraphim could make a short apperence but nothing mayor i dont think she would fit (may be wrong bc we didnt se all that much of her) Reluna is fine i think. Adrien when he is mentally a teen about 15 or so? (When he is embaressed about his moms behaviour) Advanture off world is that what i like the most, new OP gear crafting. Rank up to A, and take his harem with him. Integration should be up to crownhill to handle for the most par (im guessing it is the last) and there is now much more politiks and so it'll be not much fighting or they are just weaker so he does not have to do much. Make Governess a "real" person. A spar with Jade. Just some ideas, most just my own opinion or what i like best an im not a mayority

Matt Renteria

I would love it if Carter participated more in the Amazon family he's almost on par with most of them there plus Ted would love to have another dude around. and the conflict could come from somewhere outside of the family too another family and/or faction sees a juicy weak link in the mighty Amazonian family similarly to the sabotage attempts toward Carter's brother in law.

Chris Hodge

Def more jade and governess

Dream Weaver88

I have not read book 6 yet, but I love the comedy you have for your characters. So, if just content type, more comedic moments. Otherwise, I am hoping to see the more dramatic dynamics between established characters play out.

Wade thomas

Father son adventure where adrian is actually kidnapped through teleportation and carter goes with him and they both escape together while reeking havoc and death. And definitely more seraph and jade.

Npd9913

I am excited to read about (is it Seraphyne?) the time-dialated world where Carter is unintentionally treated as a deity and where that girl is searching the universe for him.

Andy Grice

It does kind of feel like cyra and to a lesser extent myrina has been sidelined. For most of book 5, 6 and the start of book 7. Carter just shows up put them in somekind of leader roll for one group or anothero and then there forgotten for the 20 chapters untill he decides he needs them somewhere else and the story repeats. Also feels like mimiko is more like a servant of the family then a part of the harem. I would like to see more of them maybe taking a proper roll in the story instead of just turning up for a chapter or 2 then back off to manage something for Carter and forgotten again

Michael Sanchez

I want to see more of him nuts and bolts ruling and crafting. Growing his world and the interactions with his fellow survivors and friends/family. I like some of the off world stuff, but new things just to me muddies the waters and leaves a lot of unsatisfying “maybe later, off screen stuff” Quick edit to say, if you do load a Chekhov’s gun, not shooting it for 3 books feels bad. Better “oh shiny look” to payoff would be better for pacing and fan interest.

b bor

Skill development and combination

Simeon

Jade is nice and Carter has this new moon ready for cultivators. Maybe she would like to establish a new branch of her sect? What if Seraphyne does not get along very well with new architects and could use a hideout in a mystic realm with the original system, so they could plan revenge. Hopefully Eowyn makes it in this book. Also, kingdom building and time with Adrian are great.

Colts500

I too want this. Give me plate mail knight lady!

RestIsBest

Im not caught up because I wait for the audio books but. From what I know from up to book 4 want more summons and for him to assert some of his authority he lets people get hurt with his wishy washy attitude and need to hide his abilities, I understood in book 1 and 2 but it's really starting to be silly.

Colts500

Yes to: Perversions Integrations Post integration Earth Ideas: Someone starts a rebellion that Carter has to put down. Maybe co-incides with "we love the king day" (reference to civilization game playthroughs) Give me plate mail knight lady!! 🙏

ErzatZdeZelotE

Adrian's great, Reluna's gooning might be better if she wasn't alone in it, some kind of bonding experience for the girls (wink wink), though maybe not abandoning her as long would also be better to not fry her brain? I'm a bit more bothered by mimiko's rigidity. Liliana's mighty fine, though she doesn't live up to the serie's name, as is Reluna and somewhat Mimiko. Seraphyne and Jade are definitely more amazonian. Finishing the integration might be nice before buggering elsewhere. Definitely interested in what all the engineers he scooped could come up with mixed with the enchanters, I know Carter could singlehandedly produce every blue print ever needed in the future, but just because he could doesn't mean he has to, plus someone else might have ideas he can improve. Maybe letting some army/horde feed crownhill's lower levelled population in a safeish way could help his city. Maybe have another "top performer" session in the integration, or a gauntlet of the OP to determine who's going to rule the planet or something, pitting him against the chaos god champions/avatars. "What about dragon"lings

Sorahn

I’m personally most interested in how the integration concludes, how much of “Earth” is left at the end, and what is its place in the broader multiverse. Just a sucker for good System Apocalypse stuff!

MarvinKnight

Ngl, I kinda forgot about her. She's still around though. Maybe I'll bring her up again in passing.

MarvinKnight

Yeah, I get that. You can't have every character be in the spotlight every book, so I gotta swap the cast out now and then. I can bring them back, but I think readers generally find a new romance more interesting than rehashing stuff with an established relationship.

Brent Day

Personally I would like to see more Seraphyne and Jade. Maybe figuring out more how to use the Kindling

MarvinKnight

More crafting can be arranged. But yeah, as we get deeper into the series I've been trying to introduce less stuff than I finish off.

MarvinKnight

Group gooning is an idea. And yeah, the dragons are growing up. It's one of those things I know people want to see, but they won't be useful until a few years into the integration. I'm basically waiting for a nice long timeskip for that.

MarvinKnight

Got it. I do think the integration stages probably need to wrap up in either this book or the next one. Once Carter is A-Grade there can't really be any threats left for him.

Mistweaver

More with the governess, get Eowyn in the group, Carter gets closer to his dragon and kicks some Chaos ass.

Istyatur Elestel

I'm most interested in Carter learning the kindling technique Jade gave him, and the change in chaos dragon title because of it. The next integration stage for earth. Later stages take longer (makes sense) but I do want to see new earth at some point so it needs to keep moving. A Seraphyne pov where she investigates what become of the architects and their admin descendants.

Martin Gamboa

Love interest wise main two for me are jade and seraphim but that can happen later down the line. Huge fan of Carter consolidating his power and creating a true empire beyond his personal power. Finishing the integration and seeing what new earth has become would be good.

Michael Sanchez

I would like to add another vote for Eowyn. Reading through the comments, this looks like the most popular open ask.

Dutch Palmer

Pull the Eowyn plot thread... less of Reluna's perversions... Carter to interact with his in-laws on some cosmic scale... development of his spirit roots (probably with mentoring by Jade)... Carter to be less obtuse with Jade's flirting and to catch a clue... start integrating the resurrected dragons...

ErzatZdeZelotE

Ah right, I was going to object it's been a while, but it only happened after the crusade, not when the torchdragon was defeated. The quest go back so long ago it feels more than that ^^' I can't remember if they're supposed to have memories from the get go or slowly remember who they were. Though they couldn't they serve as drake mounts/bodyguards/pets for some promising but underleveled citizens? There's bound to be some medic/alchemist/... that could use one of them. Plus you might get a dragnewt boyfriend/girlfriend afterwards :p Wait, will carter get one of those? If not, at least Adrian It could be funny to have Myrina forget about the reincarnation thing (or not? She's Myrunna after all) and get her stepson a pet dragon-childhood friend dragnewt, only for the dragon to become his girlfriend later on

Arthur

Liliana is my personal fav of the new introductions from book 6, I just can't see Seraphyne fitting in with the Crownhill crew, and besides she's got the whole crazy goth gf thing going for her

Johnny Starfrost

More Seraphyne, more Liliana, more Eowyn, and more of Reluna’s pervy stuff. Everything else I’m at least ok with.

Christopher Ruge

I'm thinking that a good route would be the blending of cultivation and system abilities, such as being able to control a system ability without using the system. Like the signature abilities.

MarvinKnight

Yeah, could be done. I will have Carter check on the dragons soon.

Wesley Wiggins

I’d say yes to the inputs about getting some more plot with his shard and building it up and things happening there. I also think it might be interesting if he starts integrating cultivators into his territory at some point make his shard special by being a combination of the two different camps. As for love interests I’m definitely in the vote for Jade and Liliana. I’d also add more time for Cyra he hasn’t really had any personal bonding time with her since she married him outside of one or 2 bits. He has had many points with everyone else and I gate seeing her falling into the background.

Dream Weaver88

Also, much more Eowyn. I mean, its about dang time. How long has she been searching for Carter? Also, maybe wrap up the integrations, and set up for him to defend. And then establish his world full. Rebellion here and there, maybe some roudy visitors that need to be jailed or returned. Maybe he starts his own schooling for wizards, warriors, cooks, enchanters/artificiers, etc.

Something Vague

I want to see Crownhill start to become a powerhouse in its own right - whether through Carter’s relationship with the system, cultivators, architects or all three. Plus kingdom building and managing is always interesting. More Eowyn is definitely a plus as well.

dtothef

I was thinking more empire/ legacy building for Carter and his family would be nice. However there really hasn't been much in terms of his sex powers in the past couple books or much of anything on that end. The story has turned into something great even without it, but I believe it could be made even better with it! Lately it seems to be something added to the end of a chapter as an aside rather than one of the focusing points which it was in the first couple books. Using his sex powers to bring powerful women, enemies or not, into his harem and breed them full of children. It would be nice to have more of that with his women. More children for his powerful bloodline. No need to focus on the kids perhaps other than Adrian. It is Carter's story and if you start adding too much on his kid/s it will turn into a Naruto/ Boruto situation where you will end up having to axe one or the other at some point. Basically, I think completing the stages of Earth needs to be the main focus going forward and then once that is done continue with where I can see the story starting to go, slowly expanding, with the whole Arcadia multiverse. It seems like its getting far too all over the place which shows all the ideas you're having, which are honestly all great, I love them, but a few ideas at a time is more effective than a multitude. You can always just write more books, and the focus on those few subjects will come across much better than a little bit of focus everywhere. The underlying theme though should be what started the series which were his sex powers. Lately, it feels like his women have become more of tools, or different jackets of different styles but of the same purpose each time, or people who share the rent. They should be his lovers, wives, mothers of his children, helpers in continuing his legacy and lately that has been really glossed over. The passion between them feels gone. It needs to be reignited. Thank you for reading all this and my condolences. *I know I posted this on a previous comment section below, but since this is the "official" place for this here it is.

MarvinKnight

She was supposed to show up at the end of book 6 (hence her on the cover) but I ended up ending early. Rest assured she is guaranteed to show up in book 7. It is her long-planned return.

Jeremy Patrick

More. Just more. Everything. Surprise me!

MarvinKnight

Good to know I will have at least one happy reader!

Tantrayaan

Disclaimer: My opinion. Would be great if you could write something new tbh. I think this book started getting stale from Book 6. In the first few books the MC and others found it hard to fight folks a few levels above them. Now anyone fights anyone even a 100 levels above them. There are so many zones and people travel so much that it made me dizzy from book 6. No clue where folks are anymore. The world building is not as good as the new zones. The sweetness in the relationships in the first few books of the MC with the LIs like Cyra/Myrina are pretty much gone now with them becoming background characters who get called on occasionally. I think you did great to end Paladin when you did. IMO (and stritctly mine) I really wish you would move on to a new story. This one has run its course.

Belaerim

Eowyn Mecha suits combining Voltron style to fight Kaiju sized monsters Maybe another visit to the world of the Sigils. Kinda wonder how Darren would stack up, but really I just want another connection and reference like that world was lost in the Kindling or is outside the system, etc

MarvinKnight

That’s fair. Harem tends not to have as much longevity as litrpg and progression fantasy, since in those you just abandon an old setting and cast and put the MC somewhere new every few books. New series is coming probably next year?

MarvinKnight

Better power armor and mech suits are on the way for sure, as of book 7. Though it'll take another timeskip before they're realistically built and revealed.

MarvinKnight

Yeah, she's overdue. I really thought she'd come back two books ago, but the scene I've been waiting for got pushed back further than I thought.

MarvinKnight

More empire building. Sure. Is the start of book 7 what you mean? Or more focused stuff like dealing with Emperor problems. As for sex powers -- Yeah, last book was light on that, mostly because we didn't get a new harem member.

MarvinKnight

So like the start of book 7? Or more emperor issues, like Carter ruling, managing settlements, and dealing with nobles directly?

MarvinKnight

Alright, I think I can manage to bring Liliana around a bit more.

MarvinKnight

Yeah, Eowyn was supposed to come back in book 6, but her scene has been moved to book 7. The spirit root and cultivation stuff should happen as well. Originally I was planning to do it mostly off-screen, but if people are interested in it I can give it some page time.

MarvinKnight

He's experimented with it a bit already, but he can't take it to the next level until he's A-Grade.

Belaerim

I was thinking about it again last night. I couldn't sleep and opened YouTube to put on an ASMR sleep video, and the algorithm was like "Sure, sleep is good, but have you considered watching a 5 minute supercut of the 1986 Transformers movie?" So I of course clicked on it, watched Unicron eat some planets then get ripped about from the inside by Rodimus Prime and the Matrix of Leadership. (Also, listening to The Touch blaring in my headphones didn't help to slow my heart rate and get to sleep, lol) TLDR; I also want a scene where Carter goes into one of these moon sized monsters and blows it apart from the inside. Preferably with 80s rock and sick guitar riffs playing. (I can see Myrina in the background holding up a ghetto blaster like Say Anything, since I'm on an 80s theme)

Belaerim

Myrina has her Doomblade/Feisty Redhead suit, and Reluna has her special suit... are they color coded? Because Carter really needs to color code the suits when he builds more, and either Myrina or one of the earthborn natives needs to make a Power Rangers joke. Actually, given the state of media in the multiverse, I can see the Amazons in crown hill being totally entranced by Power Rangers

MarvinKnight

Good point. Maybe they should be color coded in order to assemble into a giant team-themed mecha!

Gennydoll Weber

If love to see him do a dungeon run for fun

Joseph Bottoms

I would love to see the integration of the rest of the world what survived what other creatures appeared where. And less of the reluna motivational machines

Wesley Wiggins

Kind of like the start of 7 but more involved in the management of the settlements instead of just popping in for 5min then nothing till bad stuff happens. Just more involvement overall I understand so much going on in universe can never be like it used to be(no issue with that) just have more of a presence so he’s less a boogeyman to everyone and also starts getting his shard up to date and ready for whatever is next and not leave it to literally everyone else if that makes sense. Not complaining if that’s how this is sounding lol.

Something Vague

Don’t feel obligated. I’ll read regardless.

MarvinKnight

A lot of authors go the bi route to keep a steady flow of sex scenes coming even after the MC has done vanilla with all of them. I ended up going the other route though and just not having very many sex scenes. You're right, sex sells, but now that the audience is here I don't need as much of it to keep y'all. 😉

Michael Fannon

More of Carter crafting and using tech to defy expectations. That is where I feel like he is at his best and it is his biggest ace so far. Toward that, 4 specific things: 1st, improvements to guns and modern weapons. No reason why they can't be magically enhanced the same way swords or bows are for someone at Carter's level. 2nd, robot soldiers. Armed with the improved weapons like the golems in the basement ruins. For expendable shock troops. Also drones. Carter needs his forces to have air support and cover. 3rd, Carter needs to improve the transportation situation. Teleports are fine between settlements, but spending some time upgrading helicopters or making airships to transport troops might be promising, especially if further integrations bring larger areas to explore and move. Which brings us to the 4th, you mentioned giant robot Gundam sized? That is a nice prototype. Give me a something around a jeager with warhammer 40k level of firepower. Got more high level A-grades to hunt down after all. Which also needs a carrier spaceship to move it and Carter's women. Who, let's face it, will demand there own giant heavily armed super mechs.

alessandro poerio

I'll be reading regardless. I do enjoy the specifics behind building their abilities though- honestly I'd kind of like more choices for the girls and their builds, maybe some more progression / feats / achievements on their end as Carter is very much secure in terms of his impressive feats.

MarvinKnight

Yeah, I haven’t done an update on the girls’ abilities in ages. Not sure I have even updated their character sheets since C-Grade. I don’t show those to you guys so it was low priority.

dtothef

Not just the start of the book, but building up his lands and making them better for his people. Doing this will create lots of goodwill and increase standard of living. Ways to connect settlements would be a great start. However I think a great opportunity would be when San Francisco is brought into the fold officially as part of the shard. One thing that is very lacking in the Arcadia multiverse is high level technology and high quality metals etc. With the scientists and engineers from San Francisco, what's to stop Carter from beginning manufacturing the highest quality computers, chips, robots. Becoming the best at refining metals and other elements in the whole multiverse. No other planet had been brought into the multiverse at anywhere near Earth's technological level and that should be leveraged. Mixing magic and highest tier tech, like Carter is trying to do, could also be something. But perhaps only his bloodline as I feel otherwise that would make that aspect of Carter somewhat obsolete. I know GobGob is now up there but maybe make it so only the Goblin line related to GobGob and who work for Carter have close to the ability of Carter's bloodline. Emperor problems is an interesting idea, like what just happened in the book with the council members, the oni and the sages but while I thought the idea was awesome, it goes back to what I spoke about too many things happening at once and not enough focus on each event. You alluded to the dissent throughout the book and even brought in the aspects of the Oni and the Sages and it was really exciting and I thought that would be the main point of the next book or at least half of the next book but the climax and conclusion happened so quickly. It felt like a wasted opportunity to approach the topic of running an empire not being just sunshine and daisies. That the rot was getting deeper and that it would take considerable effort, cunning and cooperation to defeat it. Especially if the Chaos Wolf (who lets be fair, at this point is Carter's main rival and should be treated as such, he is an A grade) organized this. A grades don't just happen by pure luck, it takes a monumental individual to make it that far, let alone get a Chaos title. Intelligence, strength, influence is top tier. The plot was an excellent opportunity to make Carter's nemesis more multifaceted. Even if the Chaos Wolf is somewhat of a new player on the Chaos block and a bit of a subordinate to much more ancient and powerful Chaos entities like the Chaos Serpent, he should still be a terrifyingly intelligent, powerful and influential being. The Chaos Wolf in the first few books was terrifying, intelligent, powerful and influential, now he seems strong but bumbling which goes against everything a system A grade has been touted to be. I would have thought that whatever plot he came up with would have at least seriously challenged Carter's abilities.

dtothef

PS. Also just a bit of a selfish request but if you could bring up that many Amazonians are flocking to Earth to find mates and that the men are becoming VERY accepting of Snu Snu. Perhaps that makes the human women of the shard a bit jealous and start to move up in the evolutionary path Carter has set to become more beautiful and... well built... to compete with the crazy curves and size of the Amazonians. XD PPS. A map/ maps of the Shard/Shards would be very cool to have at some point

vega

More Jade and Sera please! Definitely more of Ted as well.

DrDankness

Personally would prefer reluna being something more than relegated to sexual comedy relief (but thats just me). But yeah more of the respective girls

Marauder

Crypto Advice.

MarvinKnight

On it. I will tell everyone to buy my altcoin, which I will definitely not rugpull at the first opportunity.

Marauder

Crypto bros unleashed on the System.

Mavrox

If we are going to combine could go more Darling in the Franxx if I'm remembering the anime correctly.

Mavrox

I think from the stories I've read the the down fall of harem stories girls get added either vary rapidly like 3-4 girls in one book with no emotional attachment and are just conquests those stores seem to read more of a teenage fantasy. The other part is when the girls from the beginning or through the story have been added with lots of build up and intimacy and then the intimacy just disappears in future books and the character is now just mentioned. Keep the character still dating and with intimate encounters so the women in his life see still important to him. And yes very curious what Reluna would count as a dream date/night as a reward.
