Here are all the graphs, this is from the last video (5600X) but I might as well give you guys access now.

Basic Benchmarker

Fuck, goodbye intel! A new logo isn't going to fix this

Luke Morris

Awesome, will there be plans to do the higher resolution benchmarks in games too? Thanks for these! Got my 5900X order in this morning

Gregory Lee Parks

Well, now I'm thinking of skipping the R7 3800X and going for the R5 5600X

Anmol Singh

Thanks a lot. I had been searching for hours for reliable benchmarks for the lower ryzen 5000 models only to find them in my inbox.

Anmol Singh

It certainly makes sense if it is primarily intended to be a gaming pc, especially more so at higher resolutions.

Rex Tilton

Steve, did you see the video Techtester did on the ryzen 5? She noticed weird stuttering and low fps on the COD Warzone test. I know you don't test this game but is there a way you can confirm this finding?

Chris Lopez

Would it be the height of rudeness to ask for 1440/4K slides.

hardwareunboxed

haha well I'm not testing 17 CPUs at two more resolutions, it took over a week to see the updated data here. 4K will just be the same anyway.

hardwareunboxed

The game is so buggy it's basically broken for benchmarking. I've seen mad stuttering on the 3950X.

Alex Hart

Thanks Steve, awesome :)) Why does the 9900K no longer show, is that just a result of 10700K being more or less identical?

Leo

Thanks guys looks great, any suggestions on whether I should upgrade from my 3800x to a 5800x just for gaming on a 1440p monitor with a 3080

hardwareunboxed

Hey Leo, I wouldn't recommend that upgrade unless you believe your CPU limited. Even so, if you were to upgrade I'd get the 5900X over the 3800X.

Leo

What are your plans for further benchmarking? A big ~30 game benchmark? Memory Tuning/Overclocking? Or are you going to wait until RDNA2 to really follow up beyond the reviews?

Rex Tilton

I can confirm the ryzen 9 3950x stutter in warzone, have you figured out if disabling half the cores help?

Kieran Barker

Just joined the patreon membership. I've highly enjoyed your content for the past year or so. Keep up the great work

Guillaume Rousselet

Hmm seeing the results of the 5800X and 5600X on Far Cry New Dawn, seems like the engine definitely does not know how to handle more than 8 cores and probably moves its load too much, hence why the 5950x locked @4.7 worked better I suppose

Guillaume Rousselet

Can't wait to see Intel's anwser soon. I don't see how they could wildly change everything from the 10series though. Anyway, next year rig will probably be AMD at least on the CPU then :) (Geek in me says 5950x, responsible father says 5800x top :D)

Rick Owen

I would love to see some testing done using the 5900X vs the 5600x with 6 cores on the 5900x disabled. I think the results would be interesting, seeing how the 5900x has 70 Mb of l2+l3 cache while the 5600x only has 35 mb. Also be interesting to see the differences in the 5900x disabling 3 cores on each chiplet vs disabling all 6 cores on one chiplet.

DrumanCZ

I would love to see avg. fps at 1440p.

Jeff Pittman

My $174 ryzen 5 3600 probably isn't going to survive the ryzen 5000 series. 5600x sure looks impressive at $299. Sure would like to see an 8 core part like 5700x come in at $350 US.

Rick Owen

I find the 5800x to be a fair and balanced review, but in regards to the 5800x vs the Intel I-10700k, you forgot to figure in platform costs as well. The value/cost difference begins to fade when you figure in motherboard costs. Your spot on in regards to pricing, but last year when the 3000 series were released the same thing could be said, and then around Christmas time the 3800x went on sale multiple places for a mere $10.00 more than the 3700x, which changed everything.
