Basketball is a gem! Lot’s of non-sense and crude humor, not for everyone, but if you like South Park, you will like it. The 7 days to aire documentary is so interesting, they finish an episode, run to deliver it to the network just a few hours before it’s supposed to air, take a few hours off to relax and immediately start working on the next episode! Other studios take months to do what they do in just one week! You just have to see that!

Definitely watch “Baseketball” and 6 Days to Air. The latter is an incredible documentary on their process for a majority of the seasons, and focuses primarily through the example of them making the episode “Human CentiPad” (not sure how the newer seasons work), but Matt and Trey and the whole team are rockstars and this documentary only further shows that. And Baseketball is just a fun time and their humor slays me in that (dumb but all authentically their brand of comedy).

Braveheart is a great action drama, but a terrible historical film. Most historical movies involving Mel Gibson seem to be written by people who failed history class. While many historical films take liberties to enhance entertainment value, that justification doesn't hold up well for Gibson's work. Apocalypto, Braveheart, and The Patriot are the most prominent examples of this pattern.

Matt and Trey would want you to know that they did not write BASEketball and they are kind of embarrassed by it. They did it because they wanted to make it in Hollywood and they thought South Park would only last a few years at best.
