As usual, this is a work in progress. If you don't want to spoil anything before the comic is done, DO NOT READ THIS POST. However if you want to read this post after the comic is posted, you're more than welcome to look at my thought process and changes.

Update 3/11:
The concept of this actually builds on a few themes that past comics have touched. I intend for this to further the world building and show some nice horrible 'reveals'.
Update 3/12:
Panel 2 done.
It feels oddly empty of stuff. I'm too use to cramming each panel with as much detail as possible. I'll have to figure out later on if there's anything else I can add that would flesh out the story.
Update 3/13:
Panel 3 done.
While doing this panel I've changed the story a little bit and have started adding more details in the other two panels. Sometimes while working on these panels I feel that the story lacks a little something. If I'm lucky, an idea will pop up in my head and it'll be usable without requiring a lot of redrawing.
I'm not the best when it comes to making ideas from scratch. I actually have a really hard time with that. It is way easier for me to jump off an idea that already exists and build on it. There are many times when I've read past comics and thought, "Oh, there is definitely a funnier way to do this joke, or a scarier way to draw this scene". The one plus side to having horror comics take a lot longer to produce is that sometimes I get that revelation partway through.
Fun fact about this scene. I actually drew 3-4 different versions of this. I tried desperately to do a fish-eye perspective to make it look like she's being seen through a peephole. I cannot do that perspective. It is far too difficult (for now). I'll definitely revisit it though, maybe incorporate the distorted perspective more into the story.
I did settle for a top down perspective, I thought it looked cool and potentially allows for interesting details to be shown that I wouldn't normally get to do (like looking into a recycling bin for example).
Update 3/14:
Panel 4 done.
I also fleshed out the story more. I actually didn't have a solid idea of what the 'monster' was going to be. Slowly drawing out the monster made me realized some things that would be nice to add in the earlier panels. Just tiny details that would make this story a little bit better. One of which is that I could put up more images of missing people on the window of the convenience store. I could also foreshadow a little bit of the nature of our monster in the earlier panels. Maybe have him buy some cleaning supplies.
